Female voice/robotic recording saying: "The very second you receive this message I want you to return the call as soon as possible as FSA (?) has filed a lawsuit against your name. The local sheriff are going to arrest you for serious allegations before this matter goes to the courthouse and we freeze your bank account and suspend your Social Security number and get you arrested. For more information regarding this case..."  Obviously I'm not calling them back and have blocked the number, which only works until they change their number and start calling again. Ugh.

Claims I'm getting arrested if I don't call right back,

Going to get arrested and have bank accounts frozen and social security taken away.  I called the number back (from GOOGLE VOICE so not traceable).  It rang once and then hung up on me. Same the 2nd time and the 3rd time got a message: "Call Rejected."  HA-HA!

These knuckleheaded scammers don't have a clue how the real SSA works and they are hoping you don't either.
The SSA  doesn't suspend your ssn, file law suits, or issue Arrest Warrants.


The current scheme is they say your SSN is involved with a rental car found in southern Texas, with blood & drugs. Next theres some address they say was raided and discovered several bank accounts used for laundering money under your SSN, so they have to freeze your bank accounts and issue you a new SSN, but you have to secure your accounts by getting some gift cards ......pretty bizare "off-the-wall" story, its so hard not to laugh at them.

• Only a STUPID scammer would leave a message telling you "someone" is using your SSN for criminal activities, then try to say your in trouble for something you didn't do!
• Only a STUPID scammer would say "legal enforcement actions".
• Only a scammer is going to call you and demand you pay them over the phone to avoid an Arrest Warrant, when it doesn't really exist. You would first have to go to Court and disobey a Court Order to get an Arrest Warrant issued.
  If an Arrest Warrant was issued, you would have been informed long ago in Court, as a result of failure to comply with a Court Order and then a Sheriff would suddenly show up at your door to serve it, they don't warn you they are coming.
• Your SSN can't be canceled, revoked or suspended because it is a number assigned to your birth name for Identification purposes, only scammers say it can. It IS your Identity as much as your name is.
• New SSN must be applied for with a misuse report on the old one and its FREE.
• Only a scammer asks you to pay using Gift Cards.

They called stating that my bank accounts would be frozen, SSN suspended, and I’d be arrested if I didn’t call back. Considering it had a California listing when it showed up I immediately questioned it as I live in AL. I automatically assume everything is a scam.

I received the same message on my phone just like Nancy K's posting. I will ask my provider to block this number on my phone. Thanks for sharing.
