Lady does not leave a name or any other information just states she will show up at residence or place of employment to serve. Haven t received any type of collection letter etc & number shows private.

Same with me... lady calls says she'll be at my place of employment by 5-7pm tomorrow. Lol I get off at 4 try and catch me!!!

I received 2 calls from an unknown number leaving this (949) 229-2655 phone number in their voice mail message.  They say they need to come serve me papers and will come to my residence or place of work and to make sure I have my ID.  These people will also try Googling and calling relatives or any other numbers they can to scare you.  I had this same collection con pulled on me last year.  When I called the number back last year they claim that they need to verify my info to serve me papers and when asked what for, you'll get transferred around and receive a song and dance before they tell you what collection debt they purchased.  For me it was an old credit card written off in 2003.  Guess what... statue of limitations of unsecured debts!  If you do call this collection agency back, don't give them any information or be intimidated by these con-artists.

Just got the same message. I have no idea what this is about. They blocked their number when they called and left 9492292655 in the voicemail.

Just got the same call as Roberto & Unknown.  Just a voice mail to call 949) 229-2655.  Her name was Julie Allen she said  she will be at  my place of employment and home. Not sure what this is --- but I  am not giving any information out.

got the same message from Michelle Gomez of San Mateo County.  She has my name, but I don't have any debts.  Glad I googled the number and read that I am not the only one.  Concerned they may find my sister.  She would fall for it and pay any money "due."

Just got the call from an UNKNOWN number but left 949-229-2655 on the voicemail.  Just a collection agency trying to intimidate.  They buy off old debts for pennies on the dollar and try to collect the money ten-fold.  "Julie"  even had the nerve to say she was calling from the county I reside to make it sound really legal.

Same experience as prior notes here.

They do call your relatives and 'skip trace' in attempts to scare and harass family members.
They did the same thing to my wife several months ago and called her entire family leaving messages.
We never received ANYTHING in writing pertaining to any so called debts she owed - and let's be clear here... they are calling from an UNKNOWN number. If they are legit, why not just use a normal number and provide that instead of UNKNOWN when calling? Sounds marginally official which is probably the most they can get away with under the law with their 'script'. Bottom line, don't respond. You'll be receiving something in writing instead of via an UNKNOWN voicemail from a 3rd party debt collector.

I just got the same message from Michelle Gomez calling from Los Angeles County stating the same that she'll be by tomorrow to serve papers.  They really do get creative!

Got a call from Michelle Gomez at 7:24am in which I informed her she was violating my rights under the FDCPA to not call prior to 8am. She calls back 3 hours later stating she never received a stop order and to please be home today so that they may serve me papers. This is hilarious. I think I'm going to play along today. I have a free schedule today, I might as well have fun :) Oh and yes, I will be filing a complaint with the FTC for that 7am phone call and their mis-representation of being court/county officials.

Claim to be a law firm in California but will not ID themselves.  Most likely a debt scamming operation.  Ignore and block the calls.
