She has friended all Chelmsford people. Obviously a scam.

Facebook girl adding people from Houston bc trying to get you to text her.

She is a [***]. I got her in bed a few times.

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link that is a front for adult dating sites or a pornographic site, according to other posters here who did text the number. Sending this link is a crime, and it carries an even bigger sentence if sent to a child.

If you get a message with this number:

1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.

In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:

1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.
Report it to:
http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Why am I telling you to hide this information? In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.

As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim

Sent me friend's request on Facebook, under the name Ashley Barmes. Said she was friends with one of my nephews. Neither of us have ever heard of her. She later posted for me to SMS her @949-229-6835, which I did not do, Luckily!

Now going under the name Lisa Lasalle asking info

she also sent me a message, that if i wanted to talk to text her at 949-229-6835. she is going by the name of Elena Solorzano.

she is going by the name kisha dunham and she said "hey I have to bail now, but if u would like to talk sms me here (949)2296835"

She now bears Glenda Chao on FB, she messaged me trying to know about me but I should send an sms to her through 949-229-6835. I declined her request!

This scam is going by Nannette Roden as 0f 08-01-2014

She is going by the name of Marguerite Acton on Facebook.
