Says Verizon calling, no one there. They don't leave a message.

I was just called by an "Accufile" scam from this number.  I was told there was a complaint filed against me and that documents were going to be delivered in the next couple of days.  Again this is a SCAM!

These people call us about once or twice a week, claiming to be representing Verizon Wireless; it used to be worse at about once every day, telling you there is a bill to be paid, even after you have paid your bill. Do NOT be fooled by this, it is a scam to gather your information.

This number keeps calling at least twice a week saying they are Verizon wireless financial services with an important matter on my account. The last call today said I need to call within 24 hours to resolve a change in the status of my account. I'm pretty sure this is a SCAM.

Calls every day leaving an automated msg it doesn't identify company calling just leaves my number as a "reference number " & gives a disconnected 800 number to call back. Likely more Scumbag Scammers

It's Verizon Wireless, when your account is past due.

Even if this isn't Verizon Wireless, their information is correct. If you don't feel confident replying or calling the number provided, dial 611 to confirm with V.W. separate from these guys.

Pretty sure it's just Verizon calling to say pay your bill.

This number is NOT, I repeat, NOT verizon wireless.  My bill has never been late and this number calls and says it is.  I look at my bill immediately and there are no issues.  Its a complete scam

Caller ID displayed as: "Pai (949)238-7040": Calling party did not leave a messege. When call was returned, recording stated the following, "Hello and thank you very much for your call. In order for us to handle your phone call properly, please call back from the telephone number you were originally contacted on."

Rang my landline/homeline...obviously some sort of scam. Caller identity came in as "Pia", like WTF does THAT mean?.. and phone number showed as (949)238-7040. Recorded messege wants you to call in on the number they called to....Why? Something smells rotten in Denmark! And these SKUNKS are leaving a linger stench...This one STINKS to HIGH HEAVEN of a Stink-A-Scam Bros (if you know what I mean)! BLOCK THEM! FAKE CALLS TO COLLECT YOUR FINANCIAL AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION! DISHONEST PEOPLE TRYING TO SCAM GOOD FOLKS!

Yes, the number is Verizon Wireless about a past due account. The same number has also been spoofed by scammers before.

If you know who called, why did you look up the number? Telling people that your call was valid doesn't help since, as you pointed out, scammers spoof legitimate numbers all the time and their call could easily be from a scammer.
