if it is an actual number i agree. since it is a recorded message i cannot do what i have learned here from 'whistler'. he keeps a loud whistle near the phone and blows it in their ear.  i have done the same and like he said, it may not stop them from calling back, but it does give me some satisfaction in getting back at them.

It might give you "satisfaction", but it is damaging your hearing and not their hearing.  So, is that "satisfaction" going to be worth the cost of those hearing  aids you will have to buy?

Funny, in the message, he warns about others pretending to be from the
Federal Government calling about loans!

I called the number back, and it routes to a voice mailbox, that is garbled in
just the right places so you can't get the names mentioned.

I received 3  calls from this number. Each call is a recorded message from Jack Armstrong wherein he gives you another number to call (213) 784-4794 in reference to a student loan application. "Please call to finalize so you will not have to pay the balance in full." Fortunately,  I do not have a student loan and, never applied for a student loan.

Report to FTC! They need certain amount of complaints to shut it down! B careful do not answer nor call # back. It is a scam to spam!!!

I have been getting DOZENS OF CALLS from this and other numbers claiming they are a Federal agency.  THEY ARE NOT!  I neve had student loans, told them that, blocked their #'s and they use other #'s.  PLEASE contact the FCC and give them all the numbers etc.!!!!!!!!!!

Total scam, trying to get personal info, saying its for student loan forgiveness.

Received call from this number -- Hi this is Jackie Armstrong Director Federal Student Loan Forgiveness.  I have no student loans.  While listening to the recorded message I was given 48 hours to call back to take advantage of the forgiveness program, told  to call another number 213-784-4797

Answered phone. No response. But I see what it is from other comments. The phoney student loan "forgiveness" scam.
I don't have an outstanding student loan. ,either. We're supposed to stay on the line or call them back to "confirm" out information. Sure.

This is the same "student loan forgiveness" scammers that have been calling me literally every day for the last 2 weeks. I call them scammers because they should take a hint that I don't want to talk to them after the first 10 times they called!
This time, they called and left a message on my voicemail, which sounded like a live person, rather than the usual robo-call:
Hi, this is Jackie Armstrong again. This is my second time giving you a call regarding your federal student loan. I am the director for the student loan forgiveness program. Um, this will be my last attempt to contact you. Um, this way you can actually have the ability to get your loans forgiven. Um, again, this is your federal student loans, not private. However, I do need to hear back from you within the next 48 hours. 213-784-4794. Again, 213-784-4794. If I don't hear back from you, I will have to submit this as a rejection not as a loan forgiveness which means you would have to pay the full balance back plus interest with your servicer. So this is the last attempt. We look forward to hearing back from you. Bye bye.
They called my cell phone, which is on the FTC and State of FL Do Not Call List.

Student loan scam, the recording tells you to call 213 784 4794 but when you do they hang up.

Yeah, right.  I would love to leave a few marks on them as well (lol).  :)  Tired of them, their constant parade of SPOOFED phone numbers, and their "student loan forgiveness" bs.  D*mn!  I don't even have any outstanding student loans.  They are just phishing ..... bunch of criminal scammers!

Got the call, but wasn't able to answer at the time.  If it's the Student Loan folks, report them to the FTC. They have recently nailed several, along with some State AG's. I'm sure they would like to shut a few more down. Have a little chat with them, and see if you can find out what company they represent, then file a complaint with the FTC.

Will not stop calling. They ID self as Student loan help center. Call over 3 times today alone and probably 100. I've hit 8 to stop calling doesn't work. They text me. I've hit stop. I've written emails to several compsnies. They call and call and call. Seems like I've gotten at least 100 times and have no student loans. Haven't been in school for over 30 yrs. really would like then to stop. Obviously being on the DNC list doesn't help.

"Jackie Armstrong the director trying to get this thing done now."    I repeated back his name several times and the recording starts again.  About the fifth time, we were doing it in stereo till I disconnected.  Thought I would burn a little of his time
