My experience is exactly the same as the ones listed above.  However, "Mr. Alexander" did speak clear English and was American😄 They identified the company as LCS Group.  He was commenting back and forth with someone in the room about my supposedly "complaint #" that belonged to Mr. Reaves?  Joke! Scam!

LCS group is a scam. Newsflash people. A debt collector is FORBIDDEN under the FDCPA from threatening to sue or take any type of action they cannot legally take or do not intend on taking. This means that when they act like they are going to sue you for a debt that has long since passed the statute of limitations you need to call an attorney who specializes in suing agencies such as this and go collect your reward for being victimized. They WILL pay for their FDCPA violations(per occurrence) and they will cover your attorney fees as well. DO NOT pay them one cent. Whether you have or have not paid them reach out to an attorney and let your attorney start this process. They should be ashamed of themselves for attempting to do what they are doing. I tried to warn them and they refused to listen.

I saw this on the homepage and was intrigued.

Well to put it in a nutshell, no that is not what the FDCPA says.  The statutory damages are $1,000. regardless of how many violations they have committed.  However, if you have a good attorney there is no reason that you can't get a high 5 or even a low 6 figure settlement.
