scam  computer issues

Caller claimed to be a "Certified Microsoft computer technician" who received data that my computer software needed to be fixed.  Wanted me to log on to my computer.  Would not give any information.  I refused.  Threatened to report him.

Received the same SCAM call.
Microsoft would not call you via telephone if you had a computer problem.
I always talked to John via email.

scamming basturd [***] claiming to be a Microsoft certified technician says my computer is generating serious error messages and wants to ensure its not infecting other computers.   Told him to get back to herding his goats and tending to his camels. He hung up as I was about to insult  allaah and moehamed

Received call, didn't answer. No message left. Blocked the number.

I did manage to keep them busy with lies and stupidity for about 20 min, that was fun

The message was brief, but it started with press one for a Microsoft technician and then cut off.  Microsoft will never call about a computer problem.  My former IT department had one of these calls and we had a blast with the "tech".

Robovoice said "there is a problem with my computer they could help me resolve". Referenced Microsoft. Lol! Do people still fall for these? I love messing with the operators. FYI, my computer bit the dust about 6months ago.

Just another call I added to the Auto Call Reject list. Crazy world we live in now. Plenty of Cyber criminals out there.

These scammers also have called from 949-281-1226 and 949-281-1221. I've blocked the entire 949 area code.

Left msg on answering machine:  "Press 1 to talk to Microsoft Certified Engineers.  Press 1 Now"

I got this same call saying to press 1 to get a Microsoft technician. In previous dealings with Microsoft they told me they NEVER call you if you have a problem. Now I'm going to register them on www.donotcall.gov

Call came in on January 30, 2017, 2:20 PM MST.  No caller ID.  No message left.

Computer Scam

I tell them I have to go to another room to turn on the computer.  They hang up after a while.  I have wasted their time like they waste mine................

Super Robot Tech Support!

The only way to fight this is to call out the US carriers who are complicit in these business practices. To find the actual company that called you is almost impossible, so people should go after the local provider  and submit complaints to the company directly and FCC implicating the provider, not the caller.

These guys provide the service, wholesale it out to [***], and take no responsibility for compliance as they sit back and watch the fleecing of America.
Trying to submit a complaint with them is useless.
But I think the best way to voice your opinion is to call the VP:

Upon answering I was told that "there's a problem with your computer press 1to speak to a Microsoft tech".   I hung up.

949-281-1132   This is a SCAM.   Someone pretending to be with Microsoft.
Microsoft will never ever call a residential customer out of the blue.   You're just not relevant to them.
