Called about lowering my interest rate. Scam

Didn't answer the call - and they didn't leave a message - another of many robo calls I guess based on the previous comment

I missed the call. There was no message. I don't know anyone in the 949 area code. Thanks to the others that responded here so I know it was a robocall.

A supposed "Windows Technical Service Engineer" called to tell me that they had identified my computer.   When I asked how they could tell it was _my_ computer, out of the hundreds of millions of computers, she insisted that "EVERY computer" on the planet is connected to Micro$oft.  _*EVERY*_ computer.  Even Chromebooks, UNIX systems, IBM mainframes, PLCs, the engine control module in my car,...etc.   Kinda a dead giveaway, doncha think?
Led the stupid clueless imbecile on for ten minutes or so, playing along, just to see how stupid she really was.
Answer:  pretty stupid.
Finally got tired of playing "phish-the-scammer" and let her off the hook.
Needless to say, 949-281-1221 is now well and truly blocked.

Received a call from this number--identified as "Unknown Caller"---I didn't answer thanks to the comments written here.

I just received a phone call from someone saying they were from Microsoft and that I was having issues with my computer. I should press 1 to speak to a technican  from Microsoft. The phone call came from 949-281-1221 and I will pass this on to the Federal Trade Commission if I get any more phone calls relating to my computer. This is a SCAM  CALL.

SCAM - recorded message states this is an emergency, your computer is sending out errors...yeah right. hung up.

This is a scam.  They claim to be from Microsoft and say that you are having an issue with your computer.  When I told them that I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and I know that the call is fake they said, "I don't know what you are talking about".  Go ahead and mess with them but please don't give them any information.  I work in IT, I feel bad for people that don't and fall for this crap.  This call came to my Mom's number, I am sure she would ask me but it is really sad that they scam the people that can least afford it.

Just got the same call.  I tried calling back on another phone but got recording saying the number not valid and to try dialing again.

Just tell them the only error messages they're getting from your computer is that they're mother f**ks camels. Then hang up.

Yes I got the same call. It's the Russiansame Trump is having them hack our phones now!!!! Yeah, we are all connected to Microsoft, Microsoft was just on the news, The Russians don't want them used there because this is where all the Hacking is coming from.
