I called it back. Says it's from a verizon customer not available at this time. Have added it to my reject list.

Received phone call from a woman with a thick foreign accent from this number. Said she was with US Financial Mortgage. Told her I was on the "do not call list" and she hung up.

Some dude with foreign accent called from US Financial offering lower mortgage rate.  Asked "Are you paying more than 3.5% on your mortgage right now?"  I asked him to put me on do not call list.  He said "ok sir".  I hung up.

The caller, Laguna Beach CA ( displayed  as ID on our phone ),  called us today @11:37 A.M., 06.19.2015, The same as yesterday. used 281-1978 without area code  ( Laguna Beach CA 's area code supposed 949 .). When I returned the call hiding my number  & dialed 281-1798 , a lady message told me"" The number 213-966-0005 you just dialed has been disconnected  or no longer in service. When I dialed 949-281-1798 , a lady message told me the number is not in service. Those messages are not from my phone company-Verizon.

I reported to www.ftc.com do not call & www.fcc.gov/complaints.

I decide to answer 1st time, but the caller didn't make any sound. . I told him or her, please do not call.When we answer the actual caller will get credit or payment from employer, Today, when I returned the call afterward, I heard a message: " Sorry, you can't complete the call, please try later."  Yes, I received many : try later messages".

When I returned the call this time, I heard a old female message: "It is not in service, please check the number & try later. " The, it cut me off.

The  caller, Laguna Beach ( displayed as ID on our phone. ), called us again @ 10:19, 06.29.2015  for 8th time.  returned the call hiding my number. a lady message told me: " This is not in servce please check the number & try later, message DRDX 1234.".

Very heavily accented man called from this number - you could hear the phone click several times as it connected which immediately red flagged in my brain that it was really not a California phone number.  As soon as he called me by name I asked him why he was calling from out of the US and pretending to be in the US.  He hung up.

Got call from this number, did not answer, then my phone froze, i couldn't delete the number, only, call back, or send text were my options. took battery out of phone, seems ok now.

I have received 2 calls from this number 1-949-281-1798.  It is from Southern California supposedly.  The first time, a lady with a foreign accent asked if i wanted to reduce my mortgage rate, and i hung on her.

The first time, Monday ( June 29, 2015 ) i just hung up on her.  The second time Thursday ( July 2, 2015 ) ,  I received the call and they hung up on me.

Upon answering, just hung up. Tried to call back but nothing happens, can't even hear a ring.

Got a call from this number. They said they were from "US Financial" or similar. They asked about my current rate, amount due, and when I got the loan, how good my credit was. I gave vague answers to these to see where it went. They said they would give me a call back in five minutes with an estimated new offer. Never got a call back (of course).

I'm not sure if they got what they wanted or if they gave up on me.

Just started receiving phone calls from this number. Two calls in two days. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a voicemail.

Just got a call from this #. No message left -same S. California location.

My info was compromised in the CVS photo hack and now I'm getting at 10 of these spam type calls a day. I'll add this to the blocked list. Thanks to the previous posters for listing this callers information.

Received call today. They did not leave a message.
