Received a text message asking if more than $10,000 was owed to IRS or state.  States their tax experts can reduce or eliminate back taxes.  Advised to reply HELP to see if I qualify.  I have never owed any back taxes.  When I tried calling the number back I received a recording that the number is not reachable.

Me too, (as you've noticed, all these posts are on 5-10-10). Same message, and I actually received a letter from the IRS on Friday saying they OWED ME $309! We know where you live, mysterious spammer. Mwahahahahahahah.

Just looked them up on locatecaller (dot) com. They are in Irvine, CA and their carrier is "New Cingular Wireless Pcs, Llc"

Same here. Not sure where they got my number. Irritating.

I go the same message on the 12th of May.
