They called saying they are trying to serve my ex husband at my address which he has never lived at. Said they were a County Courier but the number is a California number, we are in Ohio

Saying they had paper to serve me. Never do things wrong. Or even speed. Someone named Branch

Saying that there is a paper to serve me and this number is in California. I don’t owe anyone and do everything legitimately. Don’t even live in the state.

Called my step mother saying that I was to contact them within 24 hours. She didn't catch alot of what the lady said. Said the lady's name was Stacy and had a reference number. I have no clue what this is for, I live in Maryland now.

Received a long vm saying they were “calling on behalf of the county courier's office our office has been retained to deliver legal documents to the property address on file this legal matters regarding a pending complaint ordered any summons against… final attempt to serve notice and if no contact is established today the documents will be filed with the appropriate authority on record.”
No reason at all for me to be served anything much less from CA. The person who answered when I called back was super sketch so I hung up and blocked.

Scam! Real process servers don't call in advance.

Keep all documentation of voicemails, texts, etc. too.

Same here, callefd my ex husband for my deseased Mother...same exact message.  These people need jail time.

I received a call, too.
