received two calls to my cell phone from this number, 9/2/09 and 9/3/09, both automated messages from "Vantage Credit Union" a legitimate business in the St. Louis, MO area. Both calls stated my Visa debit card has been temporarily suspended and asking me to input my card number. I pressed the # key several times then blocked the number. This is bad.

Got a call from this number which I didn't answer and it was on my cell phone.  My husband got the same call after my phone stopped ringing.  We have a family talk plan so the numbers are connected I guess.  Very annoying.  Also in the St. Louis area.

I live in the St. Louis area and also received a call from this number yesterday with a pre-recorded electronic voice saying that my visa debit card had been deactivated. In order to reactivate it, it wanted me to press 1 to speak with their security personnel. I pressed 1 and automatically was asked for my credit card number. I then promptly hung up. This guy is obviously running a completely lowlife type scam.

Called my office and told my receptionist that he was John Mason and that she needed to interrupt me so that he could speak with me immediately. When asked what the call was about, he yelled at her and called her an idiot.  He said that I would fire her if she didn't put the call through. When she asked to take a message, he used profanity and hung up the phone.

My son got an automated call on his cell from this number.  The message said there was a problem with his VISA debit card and to push 1 to be transferred to someone who would fix it.  My son hung up.  I called the number from my work phone.  An automated message (that didn't seem to come from the phone company) said that the number was "not in service".  They are starting to phish via phone now.  Scammers suck!

I'm also in St. Louis. The call came to my cell phone--it was a recorded voice that told me my visa had been temporarily suspended and to press 1 to get it reactivated. When I pressed 1, I was instructed to first enter my 16 digit Visa number. I hung up.

Same experience as everyone else, got an automated call supposedly from USBank stating credit card deactivated and to press 1.  Hung up, went to bank next day to speak to customer service, the number says not in service when called.  USBank didn't show any interest, have already cancelled 3 accounts with their bank due to fraudulent use of debit cards.  How do scammers get this info?

    SCAM! Stay away!
These douches called me and told me that they would put me in GoogleLocal Search since they have a contract with Google. I asked them, if they were telling me that Google is getting a kick back from them for placing sites in Local Searches. He started telling me about placing links on my site and if someone clicked on them that's what would bring my rankings up in Local. This douche kept on making sh i t up as he went alone, then told me that they have an enormous client base. When I cornered him with my questions, he insulted me and told me to go F myself. So much for SEO... Oh, yes, my company site is on the 1st page in Google already. I told them to try my key-phrase, and this douche told me that I will not show up there. When he saw me there, he started pitching Google Local Search results. They don't even know what they are talking about. LOSERS!

SCAM! Why are they not in jail?
It's www.IlocalSEM.com  When you call that #, the automated messages tells you that even if you show up in Yahoo and Google you will never be found. What bunch of [***]. They also say that your yellow pages ads will not be visible because they are not optimized. Yet, another bunch of misleading [***]. Your Yellow Ads will be as high as you pay to Yellow Pages. They claim that they have some strategic alliance with Google and other search engines implying that if we submit our business to Google local we have no chance to be listed at the top because they have some kind of monopoly agreement with them. So basically if you pay to ILocalSEM.com than they have a way to get you at the top of Google local. What a scam! If there is any attorney who will take this case, I will gladly testify. As soon as I see anyone suing these losers, I will contact the Firm to offer my testimony. They are freaking scavengers and predators. If you challenge any of their statements design to make you buy their [***] service, they get aggressive and rude. They at the end of the call tell you to go f.. yourself. I would love to smile in those pesky Internet rats' faces after the trial. It's not long before it happens. The ball is on the roll, [***]!

Called me and asked for my business name, which he already knew...

Thing is, he called the moment that I logged in to Google Voice to make a call, as it began to ring, and it was the first time I had used the Google Voice number in days. I thought that maybe it was a customer so I switched over from the other call to see who it was. Once I found out it was this smarmy sounding telephone marketer I hung up.

Afterward i thought how odd it was that he called the moment i used my Google Voice number through the Google.com/voice website. Makes me wonder just how secure the Google Voice system really is. It would be astonishing if the timing of his call was only a coincidence.

Called me three times in fifteen minutes.  I did not know the number but did know someone with this prefix so I answered thinking it was some kind of emergency.  I got a pre-recorded call saying my debit card from Vantage Credit Union had been deactivated and that I needed to stay on the line to get it reactivated.  I didn't fall for it and hung up but someone else like my grandmother may have fallen for it.  Someone needs to shut these people down.  BTW, I do not even have an account at Vantage Credit Union so these people were truly fishing for details in my case.

Three calls came in the space of 10 minutes from this number.  10:09 AM, 10:14 AM, 10:19 AM.  No message was left.  The caller ID on my cell phone only said, Orange County Area.  Sept. 19.  I don't have a business, don't belong to a credit union, and I don't need my Google ranking lifted so I don't know what they would want to do with me.  I'm in the St. Louis ARea.

I never answer calls that come from numbers I can't identify.

I Local SEM is a SCAM
If you get repeat calls from these Ilocal SEM losers, keep the numbers on your caller ID, call the police and file a Police Report. You can use it later to press charges for harassment, violation of National "Do-Not-Call" list, and other illegal practices (your attorney will help you with that).
I have received 8 calls 1 to 1/2 hours apart. They never left a message. I was driving when several of them came in causing me to get extremely upset
and almost getting in a car accident with my wife on board. If there is anyone who experienced the same problem, let's get in touch. I have a proof of the calls in my phone log and receipts from the stores to verify I was driving at that time.
