Same thing I got a text in reply to local pa site. Said don't worry about shipping I have a guy that can pick it up. Told them this is a scam and never heard back.

just got a text in reply to a local Maine ad...scammer

Same from maine got 2 calls almost 3 min apart different numbers.

Scam text on an online ad

received a text at an ungodly hour regarding an ad i have on a horse website.  basically told the person if they were a reasonable person that was truly interested they wouldn't be texting me at this hour & i wasn't interested in their scam.  they said i was rude & would call me the next day.  ha ha, i look forward to talking to them.

Received a text in response to an ad for a high end barrel saddle for sale. Seemed legit until they told me paypal was a scam and they were sending me a check.  I told them they were a scam and they said I was rude and trying to scam them. LOL!!  It appears they are preying on horse people.

Got a text about the saddle I have online in MN. My first red flag was that they only wanted to drop my asking price by $10... then they proceeded to say this when I said I could meet them somewhere "I used live in Rockford, MN, before i got transfer out of the town due to my new position as the senior supervisor.Will take care the shipping arrangement, Do you prefer cashier or certified the payment will be deliver tomorrow through FedEx?" I agree with SDA, they are definitely praying on horse people.
