No one there when I answered.  Got the call at 11:13 am on 10/09/13.

I am getting unwanted calls on my cell phone.  I blame Verizon Fios because this is the only place I gave my number to.  SO  Don't do this.  tell them you don't have a cell.  I am not answering these calls.  I know they are telemarketers!!  I am also on the do not call list.    so much for that farce.

I have been getting calls all morning and up until right now on my WORK phone from 949-484-8383, 908-469-0995, 786-345-1584 and 920-320-1960.  I suspect they are "related" since they call in sequence.  This has got to stop. Literally, there have been at least 25 calls since 9 AM.

Just now called me, however, since I didn't recognize the number, I waited for the answering machine to kick in...they hung up before it activated.
     Saw a couple of things on the forums regarding these callers and am using them myself to help ease the nuisance factor, however, won't totally stop the calls. Hopefully these procedures may work for all of you.
     For the land line, see if you can run a block on your phone line for numbers you place into it. These numbers would of course be the "scammers" whom you do not want hear.
      On my phone system I have two options one for "ANONONYMOUS CALLERS": (no phone number OR name shown) scammers, blocked, private, I block them by using *77 on my phone - it will give you directions on how to continue. If it is someone who is legitimate they will leave a message on my voice mail.
     The other option is phone numbers that show on your CALL SCREEN and you recognize them as scammers (or look up the numbers on forums like this one to see if they are): to block, I dial *60 and follow cues.
     When I have a new number that rings through then I drop one of the earlier numbers and replace it with the newest, like this one ( system only accepts approx. 10 at a time).
     Now the cell phone: place the nuisance phone number into your Save Contact directory>new contact>work>scroll to phone number and save. Now go to the phone number>options>contact details>default ringer>change>and choose "NO RINGER". Now when they call, I'm not disturbed because I don't hear it.
      Granted, it may not stop these calls being made, however I'm no longer interrupted and frustrated by them. Also I noticed the old numbers I exchanged with the new numbers are rarely in my future calls, they seem to have dropped off the radar.

I've been getting tons of calls from all of these numbers lately. Tried calling the National Do Not Call Registry to reinstall my number and got a message saying "Due to Government Shutdown...".  I think since the govement is shutdown, all the solicitors feel like they are free to call everyone.  Just one more way Obama is trying to get on everyone's last nerve.

I just keep adding them all to my "REJECT LIST".  I have a Samsung Galaxy 4S.  You can add to the reject list (your phone won't even ring when they call).  I found instruction on a YouTube video.

I have a similar list.  I'd like to sue them which is totally possible if we had their contact info.  Anyone know what it is?  Name, address, webpage?

I'm disgusted because it seems that every time my phone rings it is one of the following numbers:  949-484-8683, 954-271-3140, 920-320-1960, 612-567-7978, 617-752-2955, 913-725-0453, 720-420-7129, 855-849-1984, 910-764-6001, 775-800-7054, 734-418-9006 and 720-420-7129.  For the past week I've gotten calls from these numbers over 50 times.  I'm just not going to answer my phone anymore unless I recognize the number that is calling me.

I am continuing to get calls from this number - I must have had at least a dozen calls just yesterday! Sometimes I do not hear anyone on the line - other times it's a "congratulations" voice recording. I'm sick of calls from this number.  I am going to look into the "donotcall" register to see if this is still around. Telemarketers are suppose to adhere to this database and NOT CALL.  Also blocked the numbers and there are several of the same numbers listed on this thread.

Can someone get their address if they pick up?  I want to sue them for the calls.  Robo calls are illegal!

I never gave out my cell phone, so I have no idea how this started. The do not call register is supposed to take about a month. I hope it works and I hope I don't have to wait that long!!!!

It is a medical insurance call. Its a recording and you can have your number taken off their list if you answer dial 5

They have called twice today, robocalls with the "congratulations" line.  I gave up on the do not call registry.  I just enter the number on my contact list as spam.

Over 30 calls in 48 hours from 15-20 different numbers but with same recorded message ,same voice of an older guy about a medical alert system.
Does any of you do business on e bay ? Do you believe this is the way they got our phone numbers ?

I kept getting calls from this number but even if I answered on the first ring, it would disconnect. I called it back and got a recording that said,"If you want your number removed, press any digit." Obviously, that wasn't working as they kept calling. Once, it did say it was some kind of political survey. So I downloaded a "silent" ringtone and use it as the defaul ringtone. People I know get assigned a different ringtone but those numbers that aren't in my contact list automatically are the default ringtone. iPhone doesn't have the option for no ringtone so that's arhat I thought up and it works. As long as you have the default vibration as "none", you'll never even know you had the annoying call.
