I received an unsolicited text to "cut your debt by 90%".  I filed a complaint with the FCC.  You should too.  If they get enough complaints, they will take action.  Go to fcc.gov.

I just got a text from this number. I don't have any debt to begin with. These companies should get their website or email address deactivated by law.

It looks like FCC doesn't care about this. Its already January 2011, and these scammers are still active.

Got a text message from this number regarding reducing my debts.

2/2/11 - 0900hrs

"Eliminate up to 100 percent of your debt! No Bankruptcy! Text Yes if you would like to know more. TXT No to opt out - Survey"

So, I switched my smart phone's display number to 949 502-1083 and text Yes.

A minute later I still get another text:

"Thanks. Are you currently dealing with $10,000 or more of unsecured debt? If so, please reply HELP."

I am sure this is an automated spamming application that responds to key words.

My solution, I downloaded a call/txt blocker for my smart phone and included the offending number in the block list.

If anyone finds out what company they are calling from by all means post it, so we can start writing letters of complaint.

Got a text from them today at 12:41 PM saying something about debt...don't know how they got my number! Annoying!
