called twice in a row, no message

This was actually a very cleverly produced telemarketer call.  It was for a free trip to Orlando, I'm guessing for a time share pitch.  They called on my cell phone, which put them in the hole to start.  Many companies, such as this one, begin with a recorded message, ask if they can ask me a few (qualifying) questions, and then they'll transfer me to a "travel specialist."  If you're not sure it's a recording, just try and ask them something.  This one was more clever than most because the recording began with something like, "I'm sorry about the delay, but I'm having trouble with my headset.  My name is Emily ......."  I think they did this because there is often a delay between my answering the phone, and either a live person or a recording coming on the line.  I think that what I'll do from now on whenever a real person calls is to ask them for the name of the company so I can check their Yelp reviews first.  If they give the real name of the business, I'll contact the business and ask why they're using a telemarketing company that is breaking the law by not checking the federal Do Not Call List first.  I can't put pressure on the telemarketers, but maybe the business will respond.
