I love making these guys known to all those afflicted by financial distress.  They think they are so sneaky.  This number belongs to GE Money Bank and they are out of California.  I called them back to see who it was, got an operator and hung up.

This "call center" is WAY overseas somewhere.  They can only answer specific questions, and are not very helpful at all.  I was able to get a number in the U.S. for GE Money Bank.  The problem is that I don't have a problem with GE Money Bank right now and I can't get the calls to stop.  They call 7-10 times a day; as a computer "calling" and then you have to wait for them to answer the phone after they have called YOU.

Truly annoying and I haven't found a good way to make them stop yet.

i keep getting calls from some guy who sounds East Indian but claims he is calling from"United States" when asked whence he was calling from.  He refuses to give me the number he is calling from or what GE Money Bank is- and who they represent. They even somehow got my mom's cell phone number which i never gave them and harassed her and woke her up in the morning.  These people need to be stopped.

GE Money Bank is the creditor associated with many retailer, catalog, and health care credit lines.  If you have a department store credit card, or a credit card for your chiropractor bills, it might be GEBM.

OMG!  I've noting but trouble with these people!  Un-freakin' believeable!  I'm not even behind in the payments and yet they're calling me to see when I'm going to make a payment.  For example, a $20 payment is due July 12 and on the morning of the 3rd, they're calling me to collect money.  What on earth?!  I called GE Money / Care Credit directly, (866) 893-7864 and they claim I'm a whole $7 behind.  First of all, I'm NOT behind, and even if I was, they're going to hire someone to collect $7?  I do auto pay through my bank and so I'm NEVER behind to these people.  My recommendation to EVERYONE is that they GET RID of GE Money / Care Credit.  These people are so far away from an upstanding company that they have redefined the defination of "hoax".  By the way, they call from more than one number, so beware!  Sometimes, thinking they're cleaver, they even call "restricted" or "unavailable"  or even from different numbers altogether. 949-892-4903, 937-534-2160 are two of the numbers they've called me from.  Tell everyone you know to NEVER allow themselves to get involved with GE Money / Care Credit!

I wish I had researched the company ahead of time more extensively. My Dentist recommended them, so I trusted them. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone without teeth before I would deal with 'CareONE/GE Money'.  I feel bad for the people that work there. They must lose their soul harassing honest hardworking people trying to keep up with the rising cost of everything.  I know they need the paycheck, but there has got to be a more humane way to make a living!  The calls start at 8am and don't stop till 9 or later at night.  Sometimes as much as every 2 hours!  Just amazing what people will do for the almighty paycheck!  Hope it's worth it.  Now they are calling my cell phone!

GE Money also services IKEA store credit so if you are like me, and love IKEA you had better use your bank card and NOT apply for the IKEA store card unless you want to be harrassed.  I applied for a IKEA card, and have never used it - they call me trying to collect a fee for a card that has never been activated.  The other creditor they service is Care Credit - heaven forbid you are a $1 short, they will call repeatedly, as well as tack on extra fees (to cover the salary of the collection staff). Beware!!!!

    Mad and Worried
I just finished supper when the phone rang.  First, nothing.  Then, a recording.  Then, a man, I think by the name of Abram something telling me he is with GE Money Bank and is calling about my Care Credit account.  Immediately I remember I am late, hang up on him, and make a mental note to pay the bill so they stop calling.  About 1 minute later, the phone rings again and it is the same guy.  He starts cussing me out for hanging up on him, calls me something I probably shouldn't repeat on here and hangs up on me.  I call *69, call the number back, and the recording says the call center had just closed for the day.  I called GE Money, I am writing a letter to their Presidential Complaints department, and I am calling collections back tomorrow as soon as they open to try to settle this.  My problem is that this guy probably has all of my personal information, obviously my phone number, but probably my address, account information, social security number... I'm really mad about all of this, but worried about this psycho having my information!

They have several numbers that they use to harass you.
949-892-4903, 800-399-5166,937-534-2160, 800-292-7508.  We are in a debt consolidation program and they want a payment from me versus settling with my debt consolidation.  They are all from India and when they call, you can't understand WHAT they are saying.  I put all the numbers in my phone under "no ring" so when the number comes up, I ignore it.  My debt consolidation company told me NOT to respond to their calls.  Calling anywhere from 6-9 times a day is harassment!

Constantly calling from GEMB [General Electric Money Bank] yes the same one that sold you a toaster when you got married. I have a dispute with Discover and they want to collect. No one who calls has the authority to fix the problem. I'm looking up Jeffery Immelt's address to file a complaint. He is the CEO. I haven't found anyone in Washington that controls these creeps.

Lowes sent my 87 year old dad a check for $140 and I called several times to ask what it was for and they said he had over paid on Lowes' account and that he had a zero balance. After a month of checking on this I deposited the check in my bank account. A couple of months later he gets a bill saying he owes $140 plus all the finances charges and late fees. I call lowes again and they say he doesn't owe anything to ignore the bill. This same thing goes on for several months and GE Money Bank starts calling him several times a day. Yesterday they called 5 times. I told him to continue to hang up on them. They have harrassed him over and over until he finally gave them his credit card number to repay $105 and the agent said they would call it even and subtract all the fees and stop calling him! LIARS, they call constantly and now the bill is up to $350 in late fees. This is detrimental to his health - he worries about this all time. Would calling the better business bureau help? We have tried to get their name and number so I can call them back, but they don't speak English and dad cannot understand the name and they refuse to give him a number that I can call back. I have sent a certified letter to them explaining everything and the calls stopped for about a month then all started again. What I should I do - get a lawyer. This is against the law to harrass elderly (or any age) people over $20 that was Lowe's fault to start with.

"GE" is their way of making them sound like they are affiliated with General Electric which in fact would make it illegal for them as it would be classified as fraud and misrepresentation on their part.

Watch out for these collections companies.  If the debt you owe is more than 6 or 7 years old they have no right to collect on it.  However if you make a payment you start all over again by renewing the age back at one for the debt. Always keep track of your credit report for any false reporting. I went through a bout that whenever one company passed off a debt to another company they changed the originating date of the debt so they could make a claim on collecting.  Upon further investigation with my attorney we were able to uncover that the company changed the amount of what was originally owed.  The claims court through out the case and squashed the debt on both cases.  And it only cost me $0 to get rid of what was claimed as $5,000 of debt because the court found the collection agency in misrepresenting of the actual debt and falsifying all kinds of information that pertained to the two debts.  The court also thought is was suspicious that they had originally collected a debt on me and suddenly they managed to get a hold of two more.  It was suspicious of the judge and court that they illegally obtained information they were not previed to as to what my debt consisted of and to which companies. They obvious paid the other out-of-state agencies more for the debt than it was worth so they could stake a claim in court against the debt from me. For that the judge ordered them to pay my attorney and court fees.  Needless to say, that company helped raise my credit score considerable now that the debt has come off my credit report.

Just remember if they are out of state, most likely they will not come to the county you live in to file a court case against you. Just invest in caller ID so you can determine who to pick up a call for.  Second, keep track of your debt's originating date...the last date you made a payment. From that date to 6 or 7 years they will call you and harass you.  Once the time is up, check with the state you live in, they cannot collect and it has to come off your credit report. KEEP ALL DOCUMENTATION.

I got 5 calls just today from 949-892-4903.  This is a computerized calling system, and not ethical, if you ask me.

These banks have computers on thier side as collection agencies.  NOT PEOPLE.  They would rather put people out of work and make us all owe a monthly credit payment for 30 years.

My US Post Office has been screwing up my mail for the past year, and as a result has been loosing my payments to my credit cards.  And so these greed ball banks call me 5 times a day asking for payments!  It's wrong.

I recommend a smart young lawer or politician pass legislation to protect citizens from these corporate loan shark banks from harasing customers over one, two, or three late payments.  It's not right, and clearly a violation of our civil rights to pursue happiness and  peace.
