Caller ID said Ladoun Williams... couldn't find it on google.  Heavy accent and did not know how to speak.properly...obviously NOT. A professional call.  Any legal action would be sent in writing!! ...  "let your retain atty call as call by you to make big mess"... really???!! Omg wtf

Got this call today. Caller ID has 718 area code and Cindy Adams is the name on the ID. Same message. Heavy Accent woman states she is starting legal action against my name (? Umm who ?) and to have lawyer call them back if I am unable to call them back.

Received same message as stated by other posts, from "Leslie Owens" .   Number was from NY 718-713-6547. Scam!

949-945-9311  Caller ID said Williams Ladoun. Caller left message saying that "This is Leslie Owens form the Department of Legal Affairs and this is verbal notification of legal actions against you...."  English is not her primary language.

I got this con artist on my mobile phone the last five days.  Called until 11 pm last night.  Even reported the number to do not call list but nothing so far.  So even if you get rid of lane line, these people like "Leslie Owens" will find us.  I got rid of land and still get it.

Reported lady again today.

I received the same call. Obvious scam. I had my son do Tom Cruise's role of Les Grossman from the movie Tropic Thunder. It was hilarious

Same scam message. I have been calling them back and had my son do the Tom Cruise role of Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder. Hilarious. Pretending to be from Department of Treasury. Clear felony so they must be from overseas.

Same thing. Blocking # now. However she/it will likely call again with new number. Phone companies, especially cell services need to get a handle on this. Even VOIP services. Law Enforcement will need their help with this. You are the ones with the technology that is being abused. Fix it, please.

Got a call from Dept of Legal Affairs from Officer Leslie Owens at 1:15 a.m. on May 9, 2016. I know it is a scam. When I called back I just got her answering machine.

I so badly want to screw with her and play along to do everything I can to make her really sorry she called!

Got the same message as everyone else.  I laughed, I'm a police officer.

Got the same message.  Sounded like obvious scam with "legal action against your name".  Also, legal actions must be initiated in writing.

This message came in immediately after a "card services" (Omega) call. Likely connected/

Same mssg as above. I called back and got a different woman, but she knew my name and said she was with Dept of Legal Affairs with the IFC Treasury and that there was a warrant out for my arrest. She suggested I retain an attorney, I said I was one, she demanded my bar number before she would give me any details, then told me to hire a different atty and then hung up. I reverse searched the tel # and the caller is in Newport Beach, CA using MPower Coomunications Corp as their carrier. I left a mssg with MPower ... maybe if they get inundated with calls about their fraudulent customer, THEY might disconnect the relevant callers ....

Said from Dept of Legal Affairs, IRS. Said I had committed Fraud and would be arrested unless I paid almost $4000 today.
SCAM!!!

got this same call today.  very annoying & disappointing that calls like this continue.
