Robocall selling ad time on televisions at local Buffalo Wild Wings.  This recording sounds unrehearsed with all of the caller's "er"s and "um"s that it tricked a friend of mine into thinking it was a live caller.

Caller ID said "callmydad.com", which is a real company for advertising in Irvine.  My spouse hung up .  Our little home run business doesn't advertise.  We have word of mouth only for a very specialized product.  BLEEPEING bleepers.

I must be really tired.  The company is playmyad.com.  We've had six telemarketing calls today.  I wish there was a button I could press on my telephone that would fry the wires at the other end of the phone.

who gives a rip?  Why can't these be stopped??

Because the FTC and the FCC either don't have the manpower, the money, or the will.  Let's start screaming bloody murder to every member of Congress and the White House.  Let's reclassify these types of phone calls as domestic terrorism.  The owners of these companies should be shipped to Cuba, Antarctica or set adrift without a life raft.  That's just my opinion.
