Call received after 6PM on a Friday afternoon. I am not old enough for SSI and the agency would not be operating during normal business hours at that time. Just another bait to get someone to lose their money.

I answered - curious about SSI.  They asked for my wife by name - she wasn't home at the time. I asked what it was about and they said something about a survey and could they call her later. I said sure and figured that would be the end of it.  They actually did call next day from a different # with no CID.  (Learned who they were here on 800notes.)  Apparently an actual working #, not spoofed.  Don't know what the survey is about, though.

I have a wife who I strongly believe was committing SSI fraud while I made well over her income required for over 12 yrs of our marriage and now that I am in a legal battle between her and Orange County Child Support Services I have been getting nothing but calls from various numbers such as 951-220 (2957) or 220 (2968) or 220 (6557) numbers that hang up once answering or have someone speaking in Spanish before hanging up. I am wondering now if its related to someone associated with committing medicaid fraud through the county?

Another call that does not leave a message. Blocked the number based on comments on this site.

Scammer call.... has called 3 nights in a row around the same time. Each call is from the same Area code but, the numbers are not related and each number is completely different in prefix and following numbers… Blocked for all the good it will do

Call all times of day and as late as 9:30 pm. Caller I D says SSI. This agency would not telephone you. They would communicate with you by mail. Refuse to answer. The also clam to be from some kind of survey.. SCAM

There is a lot misconception about this "moniker."  SSI does NOT refer to the Supplemental Security Income.  It is the initials for Survey Sampling International.  A for-profit (Big profit) survey company.  You can google their web site and click on the links to be removed from their call list.  I must tell you that it has NOT worked for me.  They may, in fact, have removed me from one list but that did not stop them from putting me on another.  I spoke with several people at the company and it has always resulted in either them hanging up on me or vice versa.  Anyway, that's who it is.  Here's an article on why you shouldn't answer surveys  and some complaints about SSI. Survey / Called me about the Riverside Community College bond measure to update their college infrastructure and educational system and if I would vote yes to a measure to increase property taxes. If approved, it would increase the taxes by 3 cents per each $100.00 of appraised.value. On an appraised.value of $350,000.00, it would increase the property taxes by $1,050.00 dollars. That's a lot of money. This would be an additional burden on the property owners to the already high tax amount that CA takes from the property owners. The price of renting a place would increase putting people who are struggling to pay the current high prices for housing in CA.

caller number showed +1 1 951-220-8543 on my cell.  As with others - it is nto legit.  don't answer and then block.

Dynata, Inc purchased Survey Sampling International.  Telephone surveys are completely legal and as everyone should know are not required to scrub their call lists against the DNC registry.  Even better is that they have provided a way for you to stop the calls on their website.
