Another variation of a scam that starts with a complaint received in their office with a case number xxx-xxxxx. The number shown on caller ID is a number in the area with a VOIP number. Two calls in a row were from completely different area codes and exchanges, but they say to call 951-228-2293.  The initial voice on the line sounds like a real person that leaves the case number and the recipient's name.  It then goes to a recorded message:  "Documents regarding your file are being prepared to be sent out. You will need to be available to sign for the delivery. The issuing agent will dispatch confirmation if they are unable to reach you at home. They will attempt to reach you at your verified place of employment. In order to stop further action you will need to call 9512282293. This call has been logged and recorded as proof of efforts being made to notify you".

Different variations of this scam have popped up over the years.  The wording and numbers change, but the same theme is used.  There's no telling what type of scam it is.  Just ignore and move on.
