This person called me and I don't recognize the number. My True Dialer app says it is Emily Hernandez of  broadwing communications, with Pacific Standard time as local time. The voicemail they left was a recording and threatening and I assume it is a scam along the lines of the one where they try to tell you they are the IRS and you will go to jail if you don't call back. My voicemail didn't say that specifically but it was very threatening and used weird language that didn't sound official about them hearing from my lawyer and bad things would "unfold" in my life if I didn't call them, or something like that, really weird wording. So most likely it's scammers.

Same number me. So I called them back. A woman with a foreign accent told me that the IRS had filed a case against me and she gave a case# and a warrant# for my arrest She says that I filed my taxes incorrectly in the past. So I went further to ask why they hadn't contacted me by mail. She claimed they had already tried. So, I asked what address they had for me and she was able to give the city that I lived in. Then I asked her out of curiosity had to take care of the wrong taxfinity returns, then she gives me # 202-866-0718. I called the number and I guy with the same foreign accent answers  "IRS". I immediately  ask for his ID#. He speaks so fast I could barely understand him. Long story short....it's a scam and IRS has asked anyone who has receives calls or giving them money to email www.TIGTA.go and phishing@irs.gov and file a complaint or call 800-366-4484. Also received a message as the one joie reported. Called back and a guy with a serious accent, assume it is a scam.

Same call & message was the same. I've blocked them every time & they just call back from a different number. Keep on blocking.

202-866-0718 is a SCAMER number claiming to be IRS.  Do not answer this number or call it back. Very poor scam that some people may fall for.

Received very threatening phone call from 951-240-5505 stating they were with the IRS and that I needed to call back or have my attorney call back immediately before everything comes falling down around me and my world. Called back and told them that I knew that they are not the IRS and why they were doing this, and they hung up.

Same exact type poorly recorded message saying that if they did not hear back from me or my retained Atty of record, they could only wish me luck as the situation totally unfolds on me. Eegads!
