- LZ| 2 repliesGot a call from this number. Said it was my last chance to lower my credit card interest to 0%.
I don't have any credit cards with a balance on them. Hung up on them. - KrisRecorded message from "Cardmember Services". Surprisingly enough, she didn't identify herself as Rachel or any of the other names we know and love from that "company".
(In case it isn't obvious, this is the same old telemarketing scam, apparently with a new spoofed phone number.)- Caller: Cardmember Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ELMOTHIS PLACE KEEPS calling telling me this is last the time they will offer to lower my interest rate only if i have over 3000 in debt and one is in good standing they say i have mailed me things now it will be the last time they will bother me i hope so

- Worthless call hater| 3 repliesOver 90% of the calls I get on my home phone now I never answer - they are all scams.
Because of scammers, any time I see an out of area number and I don't recognize the name, see a local number but no name, see incorrectly constructed numbers, etc., I never answer or may simply turn on the phone and immediately turn it off again to hang up. Sad to think that something we pay for is such an annoyance...
I can't use nomorobo yet as Comcast does not know how to support it correctly, but have been thinking about getting a new set of phones that allow me to block a large amount of numbers (Comcast only allows us to block 12!).Until then I'll keep ignoring the calls.- Caller: "Gray Karen"
- Fed Up replies to Worthless call hater| 1 replyWe have Cox and we signed up for a service called "selective call receiving". We can put in 30 allowed numbers that will ring through and the rest are blocked. It's wonderful and only costs about $5.00 extra a month. The nice thing, is we can see a list of calls, that are blocked so if we need to call someone back, who is not on the approved list, we can.
We were going to cancel our land line, because of all the telemarketers, political calls, etc but now we don't have to. Perhaps Comcast offers something similar.
The Federal DNCL is a joke! - Mdiver| 1 replyWell thats just terrific. You can only block 30 #s .Same here as I have Crime Warner. But these Bozos operate off a bank of 100-200 #s so what good is it if you can only block 30#s. I just got a call from 951-256-6169 and its a credit card scam of lowering your interest rate. You give them your card # and get yourself into a heap of S H I T. No thankx. Just ignore their calls or tell them you are on to them and to check this site to see what others say. Exposing them is the best medicine for these crooks.
- Caller: Karen Grey

- Susan thorWhen I asked to be put on their "Do not call list", they hung up on me. This is my 3rd time requesting they stop.

- Fed Up replies to MdiverI block ALL numbers and then can allow 30 numbers to be unblocked. We NEVER get any telemarketers anymore. Only the people I choose can get through. It's GREAT!
Everyone else gets a message saying, " the number you have called, at this time, is not accepting calls and they get hung up on. My phone does not ring, unless it's one of the 30 numbers I have allowed.
I can check to see how many callers have been hung up on and if it's someone I want to talk to, I call them back.
It's funny to see how many computer generated calls get hung up on and just keep calling back. I don't care how many times they call, as long as my phone doesn't ring and they can't leave a message. - ErwinWe have been getting there calls for a long time some times 3&4 times a day so now I will press# 1 so they will answer the call so I can hang up on them
- Caller: Some credit Co.

- jody| 1 replyHit 1 and asked to be removed. Told her we dont have credit cards. She said ill nor it but our system won't read it. Told her ill contact my attorney General and she said do the f**** what you want and hung up on me.
- cappySame old credit card services/last chance to lower your credit card rating recording; jut a different number. I pushed one and asked her what scam were they perpetrating today? Said she didn't know what I was talking about. I said you may or may not not know, but the company who employed you sure does. They call from dozens and dozens of spoofed telephone numbers. I told her to get some morals and get a real job and stop trying to take advantage of people. She hung up.

- Tom replies to LZ| 1 replyThe callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card number to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!
- Angry| 1 replyNew AT & T phone today. Haven't given the number to anybody. Wondered why I was getting so many calls. Put caller ID and voicemail gadget on this line. Apparently, they do not leave voicemail. I do not care if they do. When my delete key breaks, then I will care. Thanks to all who wrote on this blog. You have been very helpful. Had much better experience with Time Warner Telephone and Magic Jack. No Calls at all, unless I made them. Like some others, I do not answer the phone unless caller ID says it is someone that I know.
