Received call and message telling me to contact the number on the message with the case number threatening legal action. It is a scam

Was it a law firm FJM ?

I just got this exact message.

Left a message saying I had legal documents needing to be sent out, to contact the agent immediately. It’s a scam.

I received a call stating that I had legal actions against me for an account that I don't remember ever having.

They said that Ameristar was suing me for over $9,000.00. The left a voice message on my wife's phone stating something would be delivered to my place of employment. I googled the phone number and that's how I got the scam information.

Got it at 11:32 am

Fletcher legal group - called my brothers phone number with a case number claiming I have an unpaid overdraft fee from bank of america and I've been sentenced to court.

I called bank of america and they said I have no issues with my account- it was closed many years ago.

My daughter and myself received the same message saying I needed to call back the number and provide case number , I called and was told that Bank of America has taken a lawsuit against me from an account that was closed over 30 yrs ago when I giggled she got extremely angry and told me to go laugh at the judge and see how that works out for me and then hung up the phone on me.... she was crazy and extremely rude throughout the conversation

First I got a call from +1 (657) 317-7545 National document service as they claim and telling me that they have documents to deliver to my current address for legal letter. So I asked who made the complaint against me and they call me to call (951) 344-1632 with a reference case file # and ended up calling Fletcher Legal Group. They confirmed my full name and last 4digits of social # and address to verify who I was. And also claiming that I have an overdraft from my BOA account and didn't pay so they are the ones who are getting debt-collecting. The BOA account that I had was from the EDD pandemic payment account for withdrawal only. So I searched google and ended up here and it seems a scam call.

THIS IS THE EXACT MESSAGE THEY LEFT (called from a Fairfield Iowa number but told me to call a California number)  read below

calling to follow up with a complaint file received in the office instead for your bank . They are the case number one is 0 6 . I said 0 9 1 7 4 Documents regarding your file are being prepared to be sent out. You will need to be available to sign for the delivery. Issuing agent will dispatch confirmation. If they are unable to reach you at home, they will attempt to reach you at your verified place of employment in order to stop further action from being taken. You will need to contact the issue and agent immediately at 9 5 1- 3 4 4- 1 6 3 2. This call has been logged and recorded as proof of efforts being made to notify you…”

Called the number, after reading everything on here first.
Similar deal. "Brittany" had a civil compliant (for my mother), but would not provide any additional information.
Said I had reached "legal and litigation" when pressed, she said the firm's name was "Fletcher, Jackson, and Miles" in Riverside, CA.
I asked for more info, and she wouldn't say anything. I told her I thought it was a scam and she hung up.
I looked up the firm - they don't exist. No one with the names Fletcher, Jackson, or Miles appears to work for this made up firm.
I am currently on hold with the California bar association. Pretending to be a lawyer is a VERY big deal they will not take lightly.

I just got the same voicemail as almost everyone else here. They said the legal action was against my brother. The call came from what I assume was a spoofed local # because nothing came up when I googled it. I assumed it was a scam so I did not call back.

I got the same call stating I was being sued by BOA for an account.  They claimed they mailed me a letter to try and resolve this.  They couldn't give me a location of where the bank account was opened.  Told me I would have to go to court.  I've never had a BOA bank account. After reading the posts, I am sure this is also a scam.

they are also calling from a Nashville, TN number telling me to call 951-267-7437.  I am an attorney so I called to play along.  They said they were from Fletcher, Jackson, and Miles and had a sealed document from Ford Credit and that I was being sued for a $18,000 dept from prior to 2014.  When I told them I had never owned a Ford and even if I had, the stature of limitation had run on a dept from prior to 2014, the "Legal Department" employee I was speaking to said that she was just a receptionist and the person handling my file had just gone home for the day.  It is a complete scam.  Do not fall for it.

Was called by a local number asking to call back this number. Same as above, threatening fake legal action on a family member
