Called and left NO Message!  When number is dialed, phony, canned recording is played, ". . .number dialed is no longer in service. . ." This clearly indicates that the origin of these calls is from a nefarious, telemarketing entity using illegal boiler room cold-calling, number spoofing, and other illegal means to perpetuate FRAUD.  DO NOT ANSWER!

I agree with what you all (above) said - calls and hangs up.  I never answer this number, area code as no one from that area knows me, nor do I know them.  Scammers or worse.

Mortgage/refinance scam. Live telemarketer using same script on many numbers in the (951) 381 exchange.

Persistent person offering refinancing.  Somewhat robotic voice. Think it was a live person, but I didn't stay on the line long enough to find out.

Replying back through texts is unwise. Say this is the right person, and they're using a cell phone for evil, you let them know your number works. What's more is you could disturb an innocent person. The call may be a computer, calling around for numbers in service, which you've confirmed in two ways. It could also be a number that's not in service--a better chance. That's not going to give you a boost if you want junk calls stopped.
