harassing stating that I owe something that I never even heard of threatening to have me arrested and so on and so on

Just received the same e-mail.  I have, in the past week or two received several e-mails claiming I owe ACS but will all different phone numbers - these people need to get a life.

I got the same email today.  I called the number and could hardly understand whoever answered.  The scary part is they had my name and the last 4 digits of my social.  I started accusing them of a scam and the guy hung up on me.  I replied to their email and told them I was forwarding it to local law enforcement for fraud investigation.

I got an email from them with this phone number listed in the email.  It said I owed 3 different amounts of money, threatened to have me arrested for fraud and to garnish my wages.  I called the number above and it was a foreigner I could hardly understand.  The bad part is he had my name and last 4 digits of my social.  I proceeded to accuse them of a scam and they guy hung up on me.  So I replied to their email and told them I was forwarding their email to local police for fraud and identity theft.  Never heard anything back.  The reason I know they are a fraud is because I recently paid off a 5 year Chapter 13 Bankruptcy plan an received a discharge from the court after it was paid.  There is no way I would owe anyone connected to my credit report or social security number that was not included in the Chapter 13.

I just got the exact email today.

If you all will notice,  these stupid emails have no name in them. Its fraud.   The U.S. does not arrest people or put them in jail for non payment.  There is no debtors prison.  It is scammers collecting money from stupid people.

Seems like that's the amount they use because that's what they claim I owe. They called my husband, my cell n my house. It's crazy. I never use my house for anything so how they got that I don't know. I blocked them on all my lines. Ppl need to go back to their own country n harrass other ppl.

At least send the message to spam account on email so u don't need to see it when they harrass her. Also contact FCC online fraud dept

I just called them. I ask them for their company name mailing address phone number tax ID number. They said all we need your address. To look things up. I said I will not give anything out until I receive your information. It's they said Oh we will email you our information. And hung up on me They don't even know who I was calling about. They never ask any of my information also if they were legit company they would actually have an 800 number to call back to.

I received the same email, I contact ACS they stated that this was a scam and not to pay attention to it. As they have their own people who call you. SCAM!!!!!

I have received these emails the last 2 days. I finally got a number from them I told them that I knew they were a scam and they hang up on me now when I call its a busy tone. I wish there was a way for these people to get in trouble its been going on for a while now.

Received same email from ACS Legal Group.  They have been turned in to the BBB, and are a scam.  Second time in a year I heard from this outfit.

Nothing like turning them in to a toothless organization with no law enforcement powers that exists solely on the money paid to it for good ratings.

The next thing is why have you not filed an FDCPA lawsuit against them?  Notification by email is against federal and state collection laws.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I jus received this same message from a James Williams.So the scams have stasted with this number again.

Calls originate in India and Pakistan.  They spoof different numbers.  Ignore and block the calls.

JOHN Harris both of these names are using the emails and phone number of 951-398-0006,again on these dates,they Claim they represent ACS, there is NO such company, I checked with my bank on this before I made payment arrangements, therefore my bank turned them into the authorities.

just received and email threatening to take me to court from this guy shane.phillips@settlement-acs.com. And said that if I did not respond by July 6, 2016 then I was going to court. Seems funny that I got this email today 8/31/2016 and I was suppose to respond by July 6, 2016
