- AFTorri called and was so incredibly rude. wouldnt tell me the name of the company if I didn't tell her my name. I asked repeatedly for the name of the company. She ended up telling me to have a nice day since I couldn't identify myself! HA! I just repeated it back to her.
- Caller: FBCS ?
- mariakeeps calling.
- StellaYeah, no idea who it is. Caller ID has no name, so I don't answer the phone. If you can't be bothered to let me know who you are .. I can't be bothered to answer. If it was a REAL call, the scammer wouldn't be afraid to have a name on the caller ID
- BusterThey called my cell, I missed the call. I called back from my wrong phone, it's a debt collection agency.
I believe it was "FBSF" though I could be mistaken.- Caller: FBSF

- HoustonBob| 2 repliesThis number was originally provided by peerless. They can help shut down the calls:
http://www.peerlessnetwork.com/contact-us/do-not-call-lists/
Better yet, contact law enforcement and a lawyer and go after them where it hurts. Peerless can also help them identify the owner of the number.
http://www.peerlessnetwork.com/contact-us/law-enforcement-and-subpoenas/ - Slim replies to HoustonBob| 1 replyThe Peerless Do Not Call page you posted includes this:
"The information will be passed along to the owner of record for the telephone number."
So, essentially, if you use that page to complain, the owner of the number gets a copy of the complaint ... which validates YOUR phone number.
Is that a good idea?
I think not. - HoustonBob replies to SlimPerhaps you are right. Peerless sells DIDs on to other VOIP operations and I was reading that as passing it on to the owner company, not the caller. They can however process subpoenas which would be a much better way to go. There's also a phone number on the main contact page that may help get some direction from them on how best to identify or stop the culprits.
- Another Debtor| 1 replyThis is a collection agency called FBCS. They refuse to identify themselves unless you verify your address. They try to collect on debts that have past the statute of limitations. They're fun to mess with?
- Caller: FBCS
- Call type: Debt collector
- Marc replies to Another DebtorI discovered that as well. They know your social security number. I am aggressive when I get suspicious calls. The guy starts out with : "Are you Joe Blo with last six digits of social security number : **-**** and address at : xxxx street, etc.,. I was initially thinking sales call and I was going to politely say no and hang up, but when I heard my last 4 #'s of my ss and my old address, it was like I just got hit with a baseball bat in the face...I angrily cross examined him and he couldn't deal with it and said something rude and hung up. They have no legal claim on these debts and they use high pressure false scare tactics to see if they can collect, they get a fat % of what a fool would send in. These debts are usually already off your credit report, too much time has passed by and the original collector cannot collect, these are low life agencies that purchase the rights to collect for pennies on the dollar. Do not speak to them, deny it is you and hang up. In some instances, they can use a legal maneuver to get the debt placed back on your credit report based on information you provide them, agree to over the phone, admit over the phone or sign a document they send if you're that gullible., I repeat, do not speak to them. They can not do anything to you. If you end up speaking to them not knowing initially it's them, then you realize it's them on a later call, do not give or admit any information, not even name or address.
