Some dude calls leaving a message that he had my name and social and wanted me to call him back.  Sure sounds like some underhanded collector / scam.  Maybe I can have an attorney return the call.

These jerks are calling again.  Some Scott Harrison is pleading for me to call back in the next four hours.  He says this is the last chance to avoid real trouble.  Guess what Scott.  I'm not calling.  Get used to it.  I can always have an attorney call you instead with a hefty lawsuit.

Got another call from a similar number (954 346 4084) with nothing left on the voicemail.  Probably from the same scumbags behind this number.

Multiple phone calls have been coming in from this phone number from a Scott Harrison.  He says that I have to call back or he will pursue "this matter to the fullest extent of the law".  Bring it on Scott!  I have no debts to anyone and you are probably calling for someone who used to have my number quite a few years ago.  I bet you never checked with the phone company to see if the person you are looking for is still connected with the phone number on your list.  How typical of many lazy sleezy debt collectors.  Trying to scare me into calling you back is not going to get you anywhere.  You are heading towards a nice big lawsuit.  Keep up this threatening harassment and you and your company are at severe risk of losing a lot of money!

This guy called our business number - don't even have a clue who he was calling for - and said he was going to pursue 'this matter to the fullest extent of the law'.   Sounds like a real ass.   Sorry - we won't be calling you back for anything!

We received a very urgent call from Scott Harrison, AFG and Associates on a Saturday.  About "a very urgent matter"; "this was the second attempt..."; "will be pursuing this to the fullest extent of the law."

His phone 954-346-4080 and a return call was not answered.

This is not legitimate, so be warned.

Still getting threatening scam calls from this number.  Now the tune is "call within 48 hours" or "this matter" will be handed over to "our client" who will come after you.  I'm not calling back and Scott Harrison, others who have called me from AFG and their client can all kiss it.

    Complaint
Rep claiming they are from the State of Florida and pursuing charges against me.
I am not sure when the calls started but today (9/19/14) they escalated. I received a message
from ***** ***** stating she was calling from Broward County (if she was from BROWARD
why did she keep pronouncing it breward?) on behalf of the State of Florida in regards to
pursuing charges against me. That they will contact my employer and locate me on the premises
and that once the charges were filed in Broward Co., it will be public record. They then
proceeded to contact my mother, whom has NOTHING to do with this account and my sister,
who recently had a heart attack, stating that they were from the State of Florida and they were
looking for me in order to pursue charges against me. This sent my family into serious
emotional chaos. This is unacceptable. They are falsely impersonating OFFICIALS. They can
not harass my family this way for a lousy $350!! I did make restitution today, hopefully they
will leave my family alone but this practice is illegal and I will pursue contacting a lawyer to
    sue.
    Desired Settlement
I agree to repayment of the 300.00 loan I took out over a year ago, but the added fees should be
refunded since they bypassed *** legal and moral avenues to get the money back! I was the

These people call every week. It's apparently a collection attempt for someone who used to have
my phone number. They will not stop calling 3 years!
This company keeps telling me they will remove me from their collection list and they never
have. It's been 3 years and they still call every week for someone that had my phone number
long ago. Why can't anyone stop them. It's obvious this is their standard method of operation
    from all the other complaints.
    Desired Settlement
    Stop calling me.

We have reviewed our database and found Mrs. ********'s phone number provided in this
complaint and have removed it from our system as per her request. We got the file where her
phone number was associated and it is from an account received in our office 2/10/13 so any
calls before that was not from our office. We do remove wrong phone numbers immediately
upon request and we apologize if in fact Mrs. ******** requested for her number to be removed
    and it wasn't when requested.

    Billing / Collection Issues
    Complaint
I have received numerous calls from this agency on both my home & cell number. I have even
been threatened with being sent to jail.
I started receiving calls in December 2012 from ******* ***** saying that they have
undeliverable documents for me and that I owe them money for a check that had bounced for a
cash advance 7 years prior. I don't even remember getting the cash advance. I requested proof
and didn't hear anything until January 28, 2013. My daughter was in the hospital and I received
a call from a courier that had to meet me right then. I explained that I couldn't meet him and
why. I told him I could meet him a different day and he hung up on me. The phone calls started
again in August 2013 form ****** ***** & assoc telling me the same thing. I had bounced a
check and they would settle for $645. I was told that charges were pending against me and that I
could end up in jail if I didn't pay them. I once again requested proof. I asked for them to send
me copies of any documents they had regarding my "case". I told them that if all the information
was true and the documents were valid that I would pay what I owed. I have not received any
documents but the phone calls have started up again because they haven't received payment. I
received a call from a courier on September 24 asking if I had received any documents, I said
No, I hadn't and was told a long story about how the courier was involved in a roll over accident,
what was wrong with him, and that he'd be alright. I was also told that I would receive
documents on September 25 which I have yet to receive. I don't know how this company can
have my correct address and phone number and not be able to mail documents to me. I have
looked into my credit report and there is nothing there regarding this matter. The number that the
courier called from (XXX-XXX-XXXX) is listed as a ******* Restaurant in Valparaiso, In. The
rep that I have been speaking to is **** ******* The only information I have been able to get is
how much I owe them. My husband (**** ********) has been getting calls from **** ******
telling him exactly the same thing. I'll receive a call and not 5 minutes later he'll get a call from
the same person saying the same thing. I would really like for the harassing phone calls to stop.
They are rude to my children if they happen to answer the phone and refuse to work with me.
This really needs to end. The have in the past contacted family members and told them that
either **** or I would go to jail if we didn't contact them and settled our debt with
them.Between August and September **** ****** has contacted me from 2 different numbers
with 2 different area codes. I received the calls in August from XXX-XXX-XXXX and the calls
from September are from XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have also spoken with ****** ********* from
********, In who I had been transferred to by **** ****** to try to make a settlement
agreement. I do not have ****** ************ phone number.
    Desired Settlement
I would like for them to stop calling me. My husband and family would like for them to stop
calling them. I know that they have different business names and phone numbers they use.
    Business Response
We do not threaten anyone with going to jail and if we were to find anyone in our office saying
so would be immediately terminated, we will look further on this matter. We are a collections
agency and if any case was to be pursued legally it would be a civil matter.
We will request the proper documentation and forward to Mrs. ********. The account was
noted for no additional telephone contact as soon as we received the complaint on 9/30/13 and
no calls should've been received after that date.
    Final Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I know what **** ****** told me and would not lie about it. My husband has received the same
phone calls that I have. Various family members have received phone calls from this firm stating
the same thing. I have not received any calls recently and hopefully will not. I also realize that
this firm has "sister" firms that they go through and hopefully won't hear from them either. Any
business they have with me can be done through the mail. I was told before that I would receive
documents from them and to date I haven't. Last I heard collection agencies still sent out bills to
people who owe them money but for some reason I have never received one.
    Final Business Response
Mrs. ********'s account has been put on "Do not call" status "once we received the complaint
and no calls from anyone associated with our company will be made moving forward, only
contact will be by mail. Mr. **** has been let go and is no longer employed by our company.

    Problems with Product / Service
    Complaint
My complaint is regarding a contract for charged off accounts and a transaction of $3900 to
Invision Consulting Group and Allied Financial Group.
Hello, I am the owner of a collection agency called Dynamic Dedicated Financial Partnerships
llc (Dallas, TX). I have done business with a debt seller by the name of ********* ****** with
the companies Invision Consulting Group and Allied Financial Group (Coral Springs, FL). I
purchased 447 charged off HSBC Retail MasterCard files on 6/24/2014 for $3900.00. I
deposited $3600 into Invision consulting group's bank account and he used his company Allied
Financial to debit $289.00 from my credit card and $11.00 from my debit card. Per our contract,
I would receive the unmasked version of the accounts, which shows all the private information
such as social security number, address, etc. Upon receipt of the accounts I realized a number of
the columns where missing such as the original store the card is associated with, pay structure,
and credit score. Upon the discovery of the missing information, I let **** know and he assured
me he would get me the information I paid for. **** never delivered that information. Per our
contract within 48 hours, I was to receive the chain of title showing that I own the accounts; I
still have yet to receive the chain of title. I was advised that I would receive the media, which are
the original contracts upon purchase of the accounts. After the transaction, I was told the media
was upon request but when I requested any original contracts, my requests went ignored. ****
then advised me he would let me work a file of his older accounts on contingency until he fixed
all of the issues that I was having but when I read that contract it would have replaced the
original contract which was not the deal. Until this day, ********* ****** has refused to pay
me any of the money that he owes me from this deal. He says he was selling the accounts for
someone else and they are not answering his calls. He never advised me that he did not own the
accounts until after the transaction. I am the sole owner of a growing company and that is why I
am just now able to make the complaint. Invision Consulting Group and Allied Financial
definitely harmed my company and they are refusing to rectify the situation. Please assist me so
other owners will not have to go through the same situation with these companies.
    Desired Settlement
I am seeking a full refund for $3900.00. My company is not able to service the accounts without
all of the information promised in the contract. We do not even own the accounts without the
chain of title. The right thing to do would be to refund us for the purchase.

Re: Debt Purchase by ****** ***
    Dear Mr. ******:
Mr. *** has retained me to contact you regarding his dissatisfaction with a recent purchase from
Invision Consulting Group. Mr. *** tells me that he purchased roughly $266,000.00 of
consumer debt for $1,650.00. According to Mr. ***, the debt he bought was supposed to be of a
2012 vintage from a creditor known as ************** The debt he ultimately received was
from ********** but it was charged off much earlier, some in 2006, opening Mr. *** up to
significant liability issues under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act when he attempted to
collect the debt. Mr. *** has also advised me that he purchased the debt based on your
advertising it as being fresh with only one prior collector working the file. Your website
inventory (last updated on June 23, 2014) seems to indicate same, since the debt purchased was
from ************* and the rest of the data appears to line up. I have enclosed a copy for your
    review.
There are a number of significant issues arising from the age of the debt and the number of
collectors who have worked on it. First and foremost, debt charged off before 2009 faces a
statute of limitations issue in New York, where it becomes essentially uncollectable after six
years barring certain circumstances. Attempts to collect debt from XXXX-XXXX would
inherently and immediately expose Mr. *** to FDCPA liability while debts from 2012 would
    not.
Second, almost 50% of the debt provided originated in Arizona. Mr. *** has advised me that
Arizona stopped allowing payday lending in 2010, although debt owed prior to 2010 was still
valid. I may be wrong, but my understanding is that ********* is/was a payday lending
company. Even if the debt was close to the 2012 vintage that you claimed, collecting that debt
could have opened Mr. *** up to significant FDCPA liability if the debt arose from post-2010
    payday lending practices in Arizona.
Third, the number of collectors previously working the file has a direct correlation with the
toxicity of the file from a liability standpoint. If the file has only been worked by one collector,
the likelihood of debtors mistakenly remaining on the list despite having paid in full is
significantly lowered. If the file has been worked by a laundry list of collectors, the probability
of error increases dramatically. Despite advertising this debt as having been held by only one
prior collector, it appears it has been through a number of agencies. Frankly, the debt appears
    toxic.
Mr. *** purchased debt that was supposed to be of relatively low risk. He received debt that
almost invariably would have led to his company being sued under the Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, or both.
It appears Mr. *** did not receive what he bargained for in his dealings with your company. I am
unsure whether it was a mistake or purposeful misrepresentation, but the fact remains that Mr.
*** purchased what he believed to be relatively recent, collectable debt and received debt that is
near impossible to collect on. Mr. ***'s business spent time, effort, energy, and resources
attempting to collect on the debt, all the while wondering why it was so difficult. Unable to
explain the difficulty, Mr. *** looked into the debt and found out what I have detailed above.
His business suffered a significant loss of profit due to this purchase.
Mr. ***'s request is simple. He wants his money back. He paid $1,650.00 for collectable debt
and received debt that was very much toxic. His business lost money as a direct result of that
debt. Please contact Mr. *** to advise if you will return the purchase price of $1,650.00. If you
refuse, I have advised Mr. *** that he may be able to secure both the money he paid and
additional lost profits through litigation in New York.I trust you will take time to consider your
    options. If y

I trust you will take time to consider your options. If you wisely elect to return Mr. ***'s money,
    you can forward payment directly to him at ******* **** ********** ****** **** *******

Thank you for your consideration of this matter. You may contact Mr. *** directly with any
questions or if you wish to establish payment arrangements.

they must be doing SOME legitimate work because I received a call from that number that didn't leave a message so I checked here & was getting ready to block them when the number called on my cell too... This time they DID leave a message & I recently had service on my car & it simply was a courtesy call to ask if I was satisfied with the service that was performed! They stated "please don't call this number back" it is strictly a "dial out only"... We will try to reach you at another time...  Hope this helps a little...
