    Just got a call from them once again today, same people from India. (been 3 months)...This time his name is Don Scott, this guy has a better accent this time, last time I couldnt understand them at all. My guess, they live in India. He left a message (I don't answer numbers I dont know).
    Last time they said I owed $$$ from 2005 to cashnet usa. I have taken a loan with these people (cash net usa)and payed them off and so I called Cash net!!!! Always get the name of there so called client and call them and report them to there lawyers also. Cash Net Usa said I owed nothing and was in great standing with there company. So I reported them to cash net usa with there attorney (makes bad business for there business, these kind of bad guys)! I also reported them to the FTC, FBI and my states attorney Gen. They threatened me with a summons, being sued, arrest, my credit and said they can do funny things with my SS# which they have it, dont know how but they do????
    This is a BIG SCAM...give them nothing,the law is across the USA, letters have to be mailed to you and you have 30 days to contest ... report, REPORT, REPORT them!!! Maybe we should write letters to congress, the president...hey the FBI cant seem to put these guys [***] in JAIL soon enough! Maybe because they are over seas? I'm so sick of these guys calling me and to keep thinking I'll fall for it! Hey I know (am also a witch) lets put a spell on these guys [***] to reincarnate as worms in there next life? Only takes twelve witches to make a coven and cast a MONSTER SPELL!! How about it kids?

    II received two calls today from Mr. Anthony Jones from Legal Affadvait Office with a return call number of 954.358.4084.  He said I should call before this claim is turned over to my employer and they start garnishing my wages.  His "english" is so bad it's almost robotic and comical.  It is a scam and again I have notified the FBI and local authorities and given them all the information.  I have also contacted Dateline NBC to see if they can do a story and expose these people.

    Yeah, right Steve.... replies to Steve
    Steve (if that's your REAL name - not!), to trace an IP address is illegal, a felony.  Let me inform you of something:  YOU AND YOUR "ASSOCIATES" ARE THE ONE'S GIVING A NEGATIVE IMPRESSION OF YOUR COMPANY!  And you say for us to call the FTC and BBB to see if you are registered??  Yes, you are registered with the FTC and BBB as a company that is BAD and is breaking the law and oh, by the way, is being investigated for fraud!  The Attorney General of Florida, Bill McCollum, is well aware of your fradulent ways and says that your "law firm" is being investigated and will be prosecuted for your criminal actions.  Also, the Attorney General of Texas, Greg Abbott, is also very aware of your actions and are in the process of filing charges against your company.  You people are rude, annoying, break every law of the FDCPA, stupid, and don't know the American law.  The "American People" on this site are in no way giving excuses.  We are informing others that you and your "associates" are a scam, a fraud, and a total JOKE!  You people are not a law firm, a licensed company, officers of the law, or even attorney's.  People that you have called have recorded your phone conversations and have turned them over to the police and FBI.  You will be caught, you will be prosecuted for your many felonies, and you will go to prison for a very long time.

    NO ONE IS SCARED OF YOU!

    So I hope everybody does call you and annoy you just like you do everybody else.  TOTAL JOKE and a TOTAL SCAM!

    NOT CASHNET
    These people say they are working for Cashnet USA.  Called Cashnet USA and they said these people are a fraud and a scam and do not work for Cashnet or represent them in any way.  Cashnet has advised everyone to hang up if these people call.  Do not give them any information.  If they start to threaten you with arrests, getting you fired, garnishing your wages, talking to your boss, sending officers to arrest you or say that a lawsuit has been filed against your SS#, it is all a lie.  Cashnet says these people are breaking every law of the FDCPA.  Report their calls to the FTC, police, attorney general, BBB, and the FBI.  JUST HANG UP THE PHONE.  This is a scam and a fraud.

    Law Breakers!
    "steve", you are such a loser!  Why do you say you follow the guidelines of the FDCPA, but yet you break every one of them??  Answer that.  You say you are doing nothing wrong, but yet I have recorded conversations where you and the losers your work with are breaking the law.  Why do you think people are reporting you and your losers to the proper authorities??  You are NOT a law firm, attorneys, law enforcement officials, or a crime division department of any kind.  You do not represent ANY payday loan place.  You are CRIMINALS and that's it!  YOU will be the ones going to prison and YOU WILL BE CAUGHT AND PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW!

    Anybody that gets a call from these losers, please know that they cannot arrest you, file a lawsuit against your SS#, get you fired, or threaten you in any way.  They cannot garnish your wages.  Do not let them intimidate you at all!  It's funny when they tell you to show up for court and they don't tell you where.  Or they say authorities are coming to get you and nobody ever shows up!  They don't even know your address.  It's all a lie!  They cannot do anything to you.  Do not pay them any money.  Do not fall for their threats!  They are a bunch of SCAM ARTISTS!

    someone named Cal Purnell (i think, his accent was so heavy i couldn't understand much even when he was spelling his name) called me and said that they were suing me for 7845.00 and that he was from the investigation divison? and that my case was a risk level 5. of course i panicked and said that if i owed i would pay, then he left the line, came back on and said that they would accept a one time 3200 payment, and then said they recorded me saying that i would call them back and make the payment by the 29th of this month. there were beeps so maybe the did record me i don't know. i immediately called the ftc and the atty general's office, i filed a complaint with the ftc, but the atty general's office said that they have a separate division that deals with internet loans, and when i called them, they told me that they aren't regulated like regular loans are. now this morning i got a call from a man identifying himself as "officer" john watson, and that he was with some place that i couldn't understand and that he was calling about a lawsuit that has been lifted from my name and that i should call so that i can take care of the matter and they want to know what my intentions are etc. I have been dealing with these people off and on for the last year or two. i know i have paid off everything that i owe to them and even got a guy who said he was an atty from their company and that i had paid off everything i owed and that i would never hear from them again and then 3 weeks later i get the call for the 3200. i am waiting for an attorney to call me back and see if i really would have to pay the 3200 since they said the recorded me. I don't know if they would be able to sue me for breaking an oral contract or something. it is crazy and i am not dealing with them anymore. i just want to find out about this one last thing and then i am done. some of the other numbers they use are 866-994-7554, 201-234-4184 (john watson), 343-729-0397,954-358-4084 (Cal Purnell), 201-680-0177 (Kenneth Humble), 321-445-2914 (Mike Robinson), 561-200-3268 (Mark Ryan), 888-478-2274 (Tim Williams), 866-830-5927 (David White), 410-505-8128 (Tim Wallens, or maybe Wallace), 800-392-4029 (David White)and also 866-438-5982.
    I have made payments to all of these people, and now after reading from this site, I feel like an idiot. All I can say is that I panicked, when you have people telling you that they will sue you and have you arrested for internet fraud and everything else, it is easy to panic. Hopefully these people will be made to stop what they are doing because it is wrong and they seem to feel that they can do and say whatever they want to and get away with it. I am sorry I waited for so long to really investigate all of this.

    Dear "frustrated in texas", They are HUGE scammers and frauds.  They have contacted me too and have threatened to send people, arrest me, claim they were officers, said they filed a lawsuite against my SS#, etc etc.  The last time they called me (I have all their conversations recorded), I kept asking him what "law firm" or "crime division dept" this was.  They would never answer and kept changing the subject.  I would interrupt and ask them to tell me their full names and spell them, which they couldn't even spell.  Then they told me to "hold" for the officer.  This "officer" gets on the phone and I asked him what branch of law enforcement he was with.  Then he changed it to "I'm just a supervisor", then it changed to an "attorney".  I asked him what law school he went to and he tried to change the subject again.  Then he said he was sending 2 people with seach warrants to come and get me.  I told him to send them and I'd be waiting and laughed my butt off!  Of course nobody showed up.  I knew nobody would.  After I tried getting answers to all MY questions, they just ended up hanging up on me.  I did my research too.  They are just scammers.  They said I owed a payday loan (I never even took one out) from Cashnet usa.  I even called Cashnet usa and they said I have never had an account with them.  I told them about these weird people calling and cashnet advised me to just hang up when they call.  Cashnet knows of these kind of people and are aware of what they are doing.  They've even told me to "show up for court in the morning at 9 AM"!  I asked what court and they couldn't answer.  I asked them what juridiction was the lawsuit filed and they can't answer that.  They don't even know what that word means!  And I've told them not to call me at work and they said they would keep calling and calling.  Our receptionist said in a 20 minute time they called 12 times.  I found it really funny when I read that they had put a few comments on this site (The one's from "STEVE").  They don't follow any of the FDCPA laws and I really laughed when they said they were registered with the BBB.  I laughed at the replies people put after reading his little "note".  So, don't give in to their threats of any kind.  Just know that they can't do anything to you at all!  Just laugh and hang up.  I hope they get caught too.  I have family in the FBI and have given them these recordings.  They will be able to trace the calls.  I've also reported them to the attorney generals office, the BBB, the FTC, the police dept.  All of these places where the complaints have been filed know these scammers very well.  These so called "debt collectors" will say anything to scare you into thinking they have power over you.  They are just a bunch of nobody's!

    They can't sue you for anything, even an oral contract.  Don't pay them anything at all!  Don't give them your credit card numbers or bank account into.  Next time they call and ask you what your intentions are tell them your intentions are for them to kiss your a$$!  And hang up!

    J. Renee
    Sam Scott and John Matthews from this number, 954-358-4084, called me at work yesterday constantly from 1:30 p.m. til 4:30 p.m.  Same message as the others -- that I needed to give them my supervisor "right now!" (he was out of the office).  After the fist 2 hours I transferred the call to our HR Manager, and she told him also not to call anymore -- to no avail.  Trying to reason with them was useless.  Asking for a supervior on their end was useless.  Bottom line was that they didn't want my money, they wanted me to get fired from my job and let all my family and friends know what a liar I was.  The firm name they gave was Jason Reed & Associates -- supposedly attorneys (although when I call the name they give is Financal Misconduct Division).  The address they gave was in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida so I notified the Inspector General of this event.  They have promised to call me work again on Monday.  Could be interesting.

    "Steve's" mastery of the English language is about as limited as is his compliance with FDCPA laws...

    "But for your informations we are registered with FTC and BBB".

    Rubbish.

    Your claim to be a respresentaive of a Federal Agency (in itself), is a SERIOUS crime, Sir.

    "Because we are very firm that you are shooting this kind of blogs on the internet to make and feel people negative impression about our company."

    You don't need OUR help in documenting 'negative impression' about your 'company'. You have already accomplished this fact by YOURSELF.

    For example, we already know that your collectors have blatantly and repeatedly violated Federal and State laws (and this is STRAIGHT off the FTC's website), to wit:

    Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, they may not:

    use threats of violence or harm;
    use obscene or profane language; or
    repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone.

    False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:

    falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;
    falsely claim that you have committed a crime;
    falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit reporting company;
    misrepresent the amount you owe;
    indicate that papers they send you are legal forms if they aren’t; or
    indicate that papers they send to you aren’t legal forms if they are.

    Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:

    you will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt;
    they’ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or
    legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don’t intend to take the action.

    Unfair practices. Debt collectors may not engage in unfair practices when they try to collect a debt. For example, they may not:
    -take or threaten to take your property unless it can be done legally.

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm

    I am sure that you can read the above, "Steve", since you have spent so much time posting rebuttals and making veiled threats against others on this website regarding the ILLEGAL debt collection practices commited by your organization. And, as so many posters have said before, if you ARE a "legitimate" third party collection agency (as you claim to be), then PROVE it to us: STOP BREAKING THE LAW!

    Glad you stopped that transaction.  Did they have this debit card number?  What did the transaction show up as?  Just curious so people can be aware of what company name shows up.  If you have any other cards, accounts or anything you think they might have, cancel them and close them.  I noticed from other posts that they are changing their names from the usual Peter, Shawn, Robert & Steve.  I guess they think that if we don't recognize the names that are not listed on here, we will take the call.  Nobody should be fooled by that thick, foreign accent.
