I received a call from Dan Marin of U.S. Media Television from this number. He claimed he was doing a series that airs on CNN and CNBC and thought my company would be a good fit for the story. After discussing more with him, he asked for a $19,700 signing fee upfront before the shoot. After doing some research and finding this site, I found other people approached by other "media" types with the same offer but from different companies and different names. The business materials he forwarded to me were identical to those received from others who were solicited. They represented that this series is on CNN and CNBC which it is not. They apparently hire B-list celebrities to do a professional intro video as a hook to get people on board. This seems to be just an infomercial but wasn't represented as such. This was the ONLY response we received to a national press release we did so I was suspicious from the beginning as anyone else should be. I filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General for deceptive business practices.
