Our CEO got a call from Lauren saying her company (US Media Television) would like to do a segment on Leaders in Globalization Programs and would like our participation.  We should call her back immediately to schedule a call with her associate producer Scott Shields (of the show Inside Business).

I am the CEO and was unhappy that "Inside Business" would not provide sufficient information to Dina, and insisted that I talk with them directly.  This is not an appropriate way for people to conduct business, making me think that this operation is a kind of scam.

I am the same person who wrote on 6/10 - just found out that Art of Living is a scam – you have to pay to be covered.

I will say this, whether you read it or not. It is unfortunate that you feel like everything should be free. To be a guest on a National or Regional T.V. show it is going to cost money unless your getting free PR, which in those cases your company might be misrepresented and-or in some cases never aired. I have worked with a lot of production companies that have a simular model and 80% of the time it has been successful for my clients.

I will put it this way, i have worked with production companies that only produce corporate videos and the price tag is well over 40k. When you think of the value equation and from an ROI perspective, 5-10 minute segment, ownership to reutilize and airings, for A LOT of companies it should be a no brainer.

By you posting a comment on this site it is a good indication that your company does not have the money and may have felt somewhat offended that there was money involved. If that is the case then hire a pr firm for about 5k a month and allow them to make a decision on whether or not it is a good opportunity or to pass it up.
