Let it ring like crazy

I've gotten these calls before and tried to speak to an operator.  When I questioned them, they hung up.  Its regarding credit cards.

A recorded message from "Heather" concerning my credit card account. She claimed this was my last chance to lower my interest rate. There was no indication of what credit card it was referring to. There were two options at the end of the recording: Push 1 to take advantage of the offer; push 2 to end the call and be taken off the list. I pressed 2 and was told my number was off the list. Very likely a scam.

i got calls from these ppl about credit cards before and when i tried to get to an operator, the recording disconnected me and when i call the number i get a recording saying its been disconnected

I've gotten calls from this number and 239-263-5860. Both times I pressed 1 and began asking the person questions. Both said they were in Georgia, one in Atlanta. One said his name was Thomas Ellis. I told then I was a reporter and was doing a piece on consumer scams. He obvoiusly didn't believe me and said they'd call back again tomorrow  "and give you some more stuff you can put in your paper." But here's the rub: I AM a reporter at my local paper and I don't plan to post this on the web site!

I also get a recorded message from 954 535-9912 just minutes ago advising me that they could lower may credit card rates but it did not say which credit card it was referring to. It told me to press one and when I did...the call hung up. I tried calling the number back but got a disconnect recording.

I have repeatedly asked this company to stop calling me, over 7 times now!  They don't stop no matter who you talk to.  Somebody needs to do something about them please!

If you are not, they won't care and they won't do anything about it. So AT&T customers, call and complain about fellow AT&T caller.

THEY JUST CALLED MY PARENTS HOUSE AGAIN!  I GET WORRIED BECAUSE THE ARE UP THERE IN AGE.  I TOLD THEM TO JUST LET IT RING AND PAY NO MIND TO THEM.

Keep getting calls from them.  They never leave message.  How can we get them to stop.  We're on the "do not call list".  Thought this would take care of it.  Really annoying!!

according to the AT&T annoynance call beaureu, you have to call YOUR phone company and put in a formal complaint.

I've tried three times to call different people at different locations for AT&T and they simply don't care. If there is someone in that organization that does in fact care, nobody else there knows who it is and can't put me in touch with them. The first calls always go well...because the lower end support folks are delighted at your intentions. Its the weathered corporate office types who brick wall you.

Called five min. ago called back told the number I called is no longer in service and if I ect. ect. Sounded like any other number that had been disconnected. How do those telemarketing guys do it???

i got a call too.  i didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.  but if you call that number back, it will ring a few times and then it will connect.  you will hear a bunch of people in the background and then a staged "i'm sorry, you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service."  [***].

Claimed to be offering promotional vacation packages for All About U Vacations "http://www.allaboutu-vacations.com/" . Wanted a credit card number. I offered to call back at the Toll Free number for the company and they categorically refused, saying that's my only chance to get the promotion.

Therefore, most likely a scam.

Filed compaint with the FTC.

They call me 5 times a day and when i stay online I have talked to Shantel & jessica and they ask me if I want to refinance and then I say you guys need to stop calling me then you can hear them hang up on you other number invloved is 1-239-263-5860.. when you call back number is disconnected

It absolutely IS a scam.  If you call the number, listen closely to the "We're sorry, the number you have called has been disconnected..." message.  It's fake.  I compared it to the real phone company message by dialing a bogus number in my area (256-123-4567) and could tell the difference immediately.  If you listen to the fake message, you'll notice it's got a southern drawl and very poor diction.

Just called my cell phone stating that my car warranty is about to run out - which is impossible because my car is only a year old. When I pressed one I just heard elevator music. Making me waste minutes on my Verizon Phone!
