Enough is enough.  Getting 2 calls every day, but could not get hold of them to remove my number.  My number is on "do not call" list.  Who can help us!!  Such scammers make good charities look bad.

We have received at least 10 calls from1-954 606 5646 within in the past 6 weeks.Only once did a person mumble/jumble something about Kids Wish. I asked him not to call back. They persist but usually there's no one on the other end. I have Comcast phone service so I called them today and they gave me instructions for blocking and unblocking numbers. It's a complicated procedure but free. I sometimes blow a very loud and piercing whistle into the ear of a telemarketer, phony charity pitch hawker, 'surveyer' or political hack.

If you have Caller ID and it shows "Courtesy Call" or other unwanted callers, pick up the phone and click the # sign seven or eight times as fast as you can -- that should tell the calling computer that your line is no longer in service and the comp will remove your number.   Good luck.

I am contacting them to file a complaint and to see if they have any power to stop this crap.  You might want to do so as well.  It seems to me that the service providers who provide these numbers for whomsoever is making these weird calls should be legally responsible for them.  In other words, Peerless, AT&T, or whatever entity is providing the number and getting paid for its usage should either crack down on them, or be held legally accountable for the misuse thereof.

Follow up:  I just contacted Peerless and went to their National Operations (option #2 on toll-free) and spoke w/"Deon".  He looked up the number and said that it was one that had sold to a customer.  He further indicated that he would contact the account rep and have the party "slapped around a bit".  Have requested an email as to final disposition and indicated that I am posting this to various boards where complaints are lodged.

THANKS Mr Brookes as I get this and a private caller 817 number 3 to 4 a day each....I WANT IT TO STOP!!!!

This person keeps calling at all ours of the night and day.  He does not speak good English and I am elderly and hard of hearing.  He has been told to stop calling but now is calling with different numbers.  I am not interested in what he is trying to sell me or give me. He needs to stop
