Just got a call too

I just got a call from them too.

got a call from this # on my cell this morning did not leave message.

i just got a call from tis #; but no message

cell rang with this number just now....

They called me this morning. No message.

Answered call but no response from caller. Obviously It's a prank call.

This is a new ploy advertisers and collection agencies use. I also got a call, no message.

What they are doing is making sure the number is visible to entice you to call them back and see who they are. If you call them back then you are initiating the contact and they can get around the Do Not Call List and/or appearing to be harrassing over a debt.

If they don't leave a message or respond when you answer, don't call them back. If it's important, and legit, they will eventually get the message you aren't falling for it.

It looks to me like this is the new type of fraud
that others are saying, that tricks you into calling
them back & just so they can say you called them
first. That way they can get away with calling
your cell even if you are on the Do Not Call List.

I say this because I do not have creditors (at least
not yet). And I am on the Do Not Call List.
