Got a call from this number, the person asking for a donation for Broward County FL Fire and Rescue Dept. I told him I'm not interested and just hanged up. Most likely a scammer. I should had asked him for his credit card!

Just got a call from this number, it was a guy that asked specifically for my name, supposedly from the Broward County Fire Department asking for donations for the annual fundraiser......I'm pretty sure the Fire Department is not going to be calling random people to ask for donations.....I said I was not interested and hung up.

Wanting a donation for Fire Dept. I have friends who are firemen and they say they do not randomly call asking for money. Scammers!

Forth Lauderdale Fire Dept asking for donation, with all my information (name/address)

Received a call from this number, asked for me by name. They are requesting donations for the fire department for their annual fundraiser. I asked if there was a website I could visit to donate to ensure it will go to the correct place. He said they don't take donations online. I asked if there was a fundraising event that I could attend and donate there, he said no.

Does not sound legit to me.

This person said he was fundraising from Broward County Firefighters. I interrupted him, told him I would surely donate if I had money but that I was on a fixed income and that my husband had had a stroke. I thanked him for the work he and his company does. When I paused - no one was there. When I called back, I got a weird combination of rings and nobody answered. I marked this as fraud on my cell security alert.
