I also received the call and like all unsolicited calls - I talk with them and let them know I am interested in donating, or buying whatever they are selling. They will always agree to accept a credit card and once they know they have you "hooked", I tell them I have to go find my card. Then, I lay the phone down for a few minutes and keep coming back and telling them to hold on, I have to look "one other place" for my card.  They always hold on. Then, I get my ladder and the phone reach up to my smoke alarm and ask them again "Are you there"  and when they say "yes" - I push the test button on the alarm while holding the phone to the alarm speaker. After that - they hang up. Hopefully, after a few times of ear drum pain, they will put me on their do not call list.

Getting calls from this number the last two days. Calls started with a woman asking for me and she ask me is I was pro-life...  And she ask me for money many times.... I told her that I never pay over the phone and to please take my number out of their list. She told me many times that she was calling on behalf of Prolife, and they need my help. I said NO NO and I hope they never call me again. I am so mad.

How do they expect you to know the name of the person who had your phone number before it was yours?

    (954) 745-3011 Live call recorded 09 November 2014 ("Shelby at ProLife Campaign...donation solicitation" TELEMARKETER)
    Caller ID: "Fort Lauderd FL"

"Shelby" calling for ProLife Campaign with a brief survey which is designed to screen pro-lifers so they can ask you for a donation. I was anxious to "play" with the caller, but I bombed out on the screening. They only want to talk to people who consider themselves to be "pro-life" but I said I was "in between" pro-life and pro-choice so she thanked me and disconnected

Here is a transcript of this "lower your credit card balance interest rate" offer (all fake name, address, Social Security and credit card numbers and information thanks to FakeNameGenerator.com):

    [me:] Hello?
[they:] Hello. May I please speak with [pauses to read her screen] Joanne?

[me:] I'm sorry, she's not here.
[they:] Oh, may I speak to the spouse?

(***'the spouse'? Why not 'her spouse'? Hmm...***)

    [me:] Speaking.
[they:] It's Shelby with the ProLife Campaign and we're dedicated to saving unborn babies from abortion. Are you pro-life, pro-choice, or somewhere in between?

    [me:] Uh, somewhere in between.
[they:] Ok. Thank you for your time. Bye.  (disconnects)

Me: May I ask what this is regarding/
Caller:  [long pause and some back ground noise] This is Tara
Me: This is my work line, so I'm not sure how you got this number. What is this regarding?

Might be a automated voice that the person was having problems finding the right button to push?

BTW you can uncover the automated callbots by asking them a really off the wall question. Not "who is the president" as they have that answer programed, but something like what color does blue and yellow make? or a topical question like did you watch the game last night   You have to make it fun to mess with them and keep them on the line as long as possible to waist their time.  if you ask "are you a computer?" and the reply is "do I sound that bad?" then you are talking to a computer.

JUST had someone calling me with this exact same number...954-745-3011... and I did not pick up. Yes, it was from Ft. Lauderdale as well like all above who said the same. I am suppose to be on the DO NOT CALL LIST which seems to be some kinda joke these days as these SCAMMERS seem to be able to get our numbers and that is wrong. I shall report to the FCC and file a complaint.
