They won’t stop calling me. Making my phone unusable.

Now, it I were to be receiving that many calls from a single number I would answer at least one of the calls to find out who was calling, why they were calling and tell them to stop.
But, that is just me, and I tend to take the simple and logical path to the solution of a problem; if you prefer to continue to suffer the calls and inability to use your phone by not doing anything other than complain to strangers, that is OK by me.

2/13/26.  I installed (secondary to my cell phone) an  UNLISTED land line in August 2025.  Since then, I have periodically received incoming calls from 1-959-900-6479 which show on my phone's screen as "Aetna".  When I answer the call there's no one on the line.....  rather, I hear a loud "beep beep" indicating that the call is coming in from a Fax machine.  How can I stop return calls from this Fax machine?   It's very annoying.  Thank you!

A few possibilities:
1) You could find out who this number belongs to and contact them to stop it.  This might require you to find and borrow a fax machine to actually complete the link and receive the fax.  Contact information may be available on it.  (It would also give you information to help with 2 & 3 below.)
2) You can contact your phone service provider and report it to them.  They may be able to block the number from reaching your number.
3) File a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for junk, unsolicited faxes.

There is a possibility that your "UNLISTED land line" used to be somebody else's FAX line and they never informed the people at this number that they no longer have it.

FYI - Neither "Unlisted" nor "Unpublished" mean that your number cannot be called, "Unlisted" simply keeps you number from being listed in directory assistance lists (such as 411) and "Unpublished" simply keeps your number from being published in directory lists (like physical/digital phone books) released by your service provider.  Those services make it harder to connect your name and address to your number, but do nothing to keep your number from being called.
