Google listings.  Calling to tell me I haven't updated my web listing.  I have actually answered multiple times and they say my listing is current and they will quit calling but the calls keep coming.

Called multiple times. Claims to be Google listings. I'm pretty sure they have exactly ZERO affiliation with Google. No matter how many times I try to remove our number from their system, we still get about a call a day. Non attended robocall. Reporting to the FCC.

This is actually NOT Google. And if you press 1 as they say to do, you get a human.
He didn't SAY he was from Google, but that he'd help me with my Google listing, and that my business was hard to find online. Said he'd be able to help by entering key words into Google and then I'd be listed on the first page in a search on all of Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Then he hit me with "special promotion," saying it's usually $259 for this service, and now it's just $99. PER MONTH. I wish I'd asked him who he REALLY worked for but I was so aggravated I said it wasn't in my budget and hung up.
BUT IF YOU CALL THEM BACK AND PRESS 1, they'll put you on the Do Not Call List. Or so they say.

I just got my first call from this number.  I didn't answer, as I've gotten a slew of 'phishing' calls lately.  On the voicemail they said my business listing was not up to date.  I don't have a business.  I'm getting really sick of all of these calls to my cell phone.  This will be the third number I have to block through my phone provider now.

970-283-7549 calls everyday. Never speaks, never leaves a message. we are on a do not call list so why are they calling?

"Google" calling - "HAH"!  Wouldn't the premier on-line search engine company use e-mail not phone calls???
Claiming they needed to update my company's listing and that there was a problem on the current listing for my company.
The problem?  They called my home phone, I do not have a business, have never had a business and this phone number has been a private, home listing for 16+ years.
SCAM!!!!!

I asked to be put on the no call list and they hung up. I called back and was given the option to be on the no call list. EVEN THOUGH I am already on the national DO NOT CALL list. [***].

Scum bags found an old number.

I asked who this guy worked for. Don't remember the company, but it's not affiliated with Google. Google does not sell listings and there is no way to pay for a listing on the first page in a search on Google. Google's robot (Googlebot) scans the web and ranks websites based on a very complex algorithm. Generally, rankings are based on use of keywords in the content of web pages. This is a scam for sure.

Just called me.  I answered then they hung up. Losers!!!

I got these calls on a regular basis.  With a business phone I can't ignore when it rings and the ID is not specific.  I have answered and soon as hearing it's a recording I hang up.  However, now I push 1 and as soon as they answer I lay the phone down and let them talk to dead air.  Won't stop them from calling, but I get to have some fun at their expense.
