Listen Up Folks - I have a 954 Cell Phone number, but, I have never been to FL in any way, shape, or form.  I do not have any address, nor have I ever had any in FL.   #1 PLEASE POST AT LEAST YOUR STATE OR AREA CODE.   My number is for the Ft Laud area, so, I would guess that this is illegal marketing to the region, or wherever that company is doing work - this could be a company reselling LEADS to other bad companies - LISTEN UP AGAIN FOLKS - Play Along in order to get to a local person - this means that you will need to have a FAKE address prepared in advance for them to show up at - are you 'thinking' of buying a house that is for sale (maybe don't tell them this), then give them that address and have them meet you over at that address at a specific time, AND arrange to have the POLICE, or call them once you arrive at the MEET LOCATION and the other party shows (the alarm company salesman) and then figure out how to get the POLICE right over to that address and have the person arrested for HARASSMENT, STALKING, ETC (if your on the Do Not Call List) and also, the Police Officer can CHECK all of his or her information.   NOTE almost every state requires EVERY Salesman to be pre-fingerprinted and pre-photographed and CARRY A PERMIT, just to be able to have ANY dealings with ANY confidential KNOWLEDGE of any Alarm System (Sales, Management, Central Station Staff, Installers, Repair, etc - almost EVERYONE - get it)   NOW VERY IMPORTANT - This many very well be a very slimy alarm company that you can sue and make some serious money off of, or, IT MAY BE BAD GUYS OR GALS, LOOKING OVER A PLACE THAT THEY THINK DOES NOT HAVE AN ALARM, AND, PEOPLE ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR THIS, LET SOME NICE LOOKING PERSON INTO THEIR REAL HOME, AND GET ROBBED LATER - ITS A REAL WORLD FOLKS.   I would already have the direct phone numbers for robbery / burglary detectives for wherever your going to do this, at hand, doing this during the bus day or late afternoon and while the police are getting the bad or slimy guys info, call them directly (and your attorney) and make sure that a real 'investigator' (hopefully with rank) with the Police gets the potential picture of how the people you just got detained are operating AND that you want them charged for Harassment, Stalking, etc, as they used very strange and threatening methods to draw you out and get to you and your family, etc, and, you are fearful for your family from these 'suspossed' good people who use fake call back numbers, etc.   The state licensing agency will most likely pull their license if your gripe enough and GET AN ATTORNEY.    DO NOT GIVE THE YOUR SPECIFIC PERSONAL INFORMATION, EXACT REAL ADDRESS, YOU LAST NAME MUST BE SPELLED VERY DIFFERENTLY, ETC, BE SAFE ABOUT IT.   And lastly, my 954# is not published anywhere, so, to the person who asked above if it was off of public records, it is possible, but not likely since I just got one of those calls - It is most likely an outbound dialer computer system that has been programmed with an specific batch of code / prefixes to call, and it is just randomly calling different numbers and tracking its good and bad numbers - SUE EVERYONE, the telemarketers personally, the company, its BANKS, the Alarm Companies, its BANKS, the company that sold the Machine AND those EMPLOYEES and Salesmen and ITS BANKS, the company that MADE THE MACHINE (include the US Customs Service for allowing it into the country if it is made in China as it has no legal purpose in the US anymore with our telemarketing laws, etc), etc..   SUE EVERYONE AFTER YOU PROTECT YOURSELF BY FINDING OUT WHO IS STALKING, THREATENING, AND/OR HARASSING YOU, YOUR FAMILY, COWORKERS, EMPLOYEES, ETC.   :-)   My email is (no spaces) sss ttu2 at the hotxxxx.com    Have a nice day.  Excuse any typos, I just cranked this out real fast.

Received this call from a telemarketer on my cell phone.  Not happy!

If you're receiving these calls on your cell phone, here's a bit of advice.  Don't answer.  I never answer calls to my cell phone unless I recognize the number or caller.  If it's somebody legit, they'll leave a message and you can call back. Remember, if the call is answered by your voice mail, they're being charged for it and you aren't.

Just received this call on my cell, they were telling me I had earned a lower interest rate.  I listened to their lame message to get to the part to push 1 for a CSR - I did and a man came on the phone very friendly until I said I would like you to put my CELL number on your do not call list - He then hung up the phone loudly in my ear.

left no msg.  They are calling from a landline in logan county sterling, colorado according to http://www.area-codes.com/exchange/exchange.asp?npa=970&nxx=458.  The phone company this caller uses is one of the few tier 1 leviathans namely Level 3 Communications http://www.level3.com/index.cfm?pageID=245.  Other tier 1's include AT&T and Verizon.

Go to your cell phone provider and give them the number and ask that they block it.

The related numbers that I get at least 6 phone calls a day from are970-758-4808, 406-968-0874, 206-557-8989, 480-777-1234.  I just got a call a few mins ago and I went along with it.  I will try to get a number from them to post on here when the representative calls me back.

Just got a call back from # 401-434-4585.  The name of the Company is VMS Alarms.  Customer Service number is 1-866-664-8766.  Make your calls there to complain.

Disregard the 866 number above.  Call the 401-434-4585 number to stop the telemarketing calls.  Press 3 then press 1 and you will be able to speak to someone.  He took my number and added me to the do not call list.

I have my cell number on my work voicemail for Emergency notaries after my office closes or for simple questions about my business.  I have to pick up every strange phone call.  Most numbers that call me are from people who have just moved into the state so they will have very different area codes.  It's annoying when I have to pick up everytime and they scream into my ear "DON'T HANG UP!! THIS IS NOT A SALES CALL!!"

this number called, and when I picked up no one answered.  I had an automated message from a security systems company 2 days ago from the number 702.333.9999 I wonder if it's the same scam.

If you wish to not receive these calls, you must put your name on the DNC list for everyone you do business with or atleast choose to Opt-Out of third party communication. The National Do Not call list does NOT protect you from yourself, meaning, if you are actively doing business with any company (think your cell phone providers, cable company, credit card company, mortgage holder, etc) they are allowed to do that unless you specifically tell them not to (I would suggest in writing, but you can also do it verbally).So, unless you choose to opt out with those you are actively doing business with, you allow them to share your information with these fiends.

I have my suspicions that my cable company is to blame for this one. I also have been getting calls for some type of life alert system. Not only do I already have ADT, but I'm 30 years old, lol. I don't need a life monitor system.

Just starting to get calls from this number, how are they getting cell phone numbers, aren't they not for the public, this is called invasion of privacy. Thanks for this site.

They call my cell phone numerous times each day and they need to be stopped. I have caller id so I do not answer the calls.

Also receiving numerous calls from 978-579-2447 and 970-758-4808 trying to sell security systems - sounds like a voice message recording but I don't give them a chance - I just hang up or ignore the call coming in; also on "do not call registry" but keep getting these frustrating security system related calls.
