- Amira| 2 repliesI need to stop these people calling me every single day including the weekends: 970-835-7489
I hope they get arrested and a big fine - I'm on a do not call list.
Someone pay them a visit!- Caller: no ideas
- ChristyI did a few surveys and they asked for my number, the only phone I have is a cell so when they just called me I hit decline, I do not know anyone in Colorado lol, so I have an app from my carrier where I can block calls and report them, so I blocked it. If they continue to call it will pop up on my screen showing me that they attempted to call. Even if I do answer and tell them they have the wrong number and then block it they still call back but by then it's blocked. I know its my fault for putting my number out there but come on when I say wrong number...stop calling lol.
- DougThis is a scam to lower card rates. Its a recording asking you to press 1 to lower your rates. When you do some guy will eventually pick up. When asked to be added to the DNC list he just hangs up. Rude illegal activity and needs to be stopped somehow.
- Caller: Card Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Barney GraceI've asked these people to stop calling. Robot calls to sell lower interest rate indicating they are MY credit card company when they are not. Press 1 to talk to a live representative. When I press 1 for live representative the person asks if I'm calling to lower my interest rate. One time said yes but had a $2k balance and they hung up on me, another asked them to not call me again, today said was responding to a robo call and the guy hung up.
- Caller: doesn't say
- Call type: Telemarketer
- christy replies to AmiraOn a land line your provider should have a call blocker, or look in your local phone book. Its *with a set of numbers or # with a set of numbers. I did it before. Do not call registry is only for telemarketers. The rules on that are tricky. Check into that too. Good Luck!!
- Barney Grace replies to AmiraWorking in a call center is dangerous! I've tracked down a few local callers but Colorado is to far for me to go. The main thing is when you show up at the center and identify yourself and ask to speak with the supervisor on duty as well as the [***] that keeps calling - they turn your number off and quickly! The robot calls are illegal to the state of Arizona.
- mikegot this call today as well ...i did not answer it as i did not know the number...no message left either
- Caller: don't know
- km7.27.13 got a call from this number, but since I don't know anyone in Colorado I didn't answer.
- Carol replies to Terri| 1 replyTerry, Download the app from Android called CallFilter. You can assign numbers you want blocked, block all numbers not in your contacts. Turn on and off as you wish. No limit on amount of numbers you can block. I've had it for about 6 months and have had no problems.
- Tia ReynoldsThey called me on my cell phone and my cell is registered on the Do Not Call list. What can I do to report these pests?
- Caller: I don't know.
- MikeDjust called, didn't answer. A 3 second silent voicemail message was left
- j bgot a phone call from this ##. all it said on my screen was CO, USA. i do not know anyone and would not answer. it rang a few rings and then stopped. did not leave a message.
- Donanswered the call without looking at the number.... no one there .. how rude... of course this is the umteenth time they called, how can I block this number?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MJBShouldn't have answered. It's a call regarding your "current credit card". "No problem with your credit card, but it is urgent to call........." I hung up at that point
- DarkIt's yet another number for the "Cardmember Services" scam.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Tom replies to MegBoth of you were called by the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an effort to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers so they can rip us off. People that have given these junkies their card number have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!
- binohiosee above. couldn't even get a live person to heckle-disconnected before menu options. must be getting tired of people asking who they actually are.....
- Caller: scam
- Call type: Telemarketer
- GarthFor all those who don't know about bot calling, it is a type of phishing and mainly what they need to know is that you are a live line. They will sell the number to others and the cycle begins again.
The "Do Not Call" listing does work but not with bot callers. They do not follow regulations and in time they do get shut down but not before they have called thousands of numbers.
To relieve you of those calls, create a contact (Telemarketer, Zzzzzz, or whatever) and put the number in. Make the ringtone as "No Ring". You never hear the ring and it goes straight to voice mail. Most but not all bot callers recognize instant answers as a "No Service" line and delete the number from its listing. In the least, you never hear it again and it doesn't interrupt your day.
If you have a smart phone and it doesn't have a "No Ring" option, there are many ways to create one and add it as a ring tone. Just make it one second so you use the least amount of memory.
Hope this helps all that are frustrated.
