Called our cell and then hung up

auto-message calls saying it is "Tom from Home Protection Company" trying to sell me a free 12,000 dollar protection system.

I would not answer it.  re activate the no call list. i have had this number ring me several times this week.  I have been told that you have to do this every couple of months inorder for it to work.  I would just go by the attitude of "Don't recognize, don't answer".  there are too many cons out there that you never know what kind of "contract" can be activated just because you said "hello?"  They are slick that is why they don't leave messages.  I just won't answer. hit end or just let it ring.   don't let curiousity get the best of you.

I've been getting these calls too, and I answered this one.  It was some guy named Shaun and wanted to sell me home security stuff.  I questioned 3 times where he got this number and he chuckled, and spouted off another push for the services.  He finally said from their affiliates, so I asked if there was a site I could find those affiliates and he politely ended the call.  Still would like to know where these are coming from.

i got a call and called the number back and got an automated voice advising "you have received a marketing call from a commercial entity and it's representatives. If you would prefer not to receive futures calls press 1.

I got a call from 971-220-1019. Did not know the number and did not answer the call.  Do not know if it is from my ex-boyfriend or not.  I do not answer numbers I do not know.

I can't imagine why the FCC doesn't get involved and stop these people and the 407 area code with over a dozen numbers and fake city names!

I called the number back and got a recording that gave me the option to be removed from the marketers call list.  I recommend calling the number to place yourself on their do not call list.

Called two times this afternoon, so far, never called before that I know of, they let the phone ring 3 times and hang up, my number has been on the "do not call" list for years, I check at least once a year.

Had 3 calls from this number since yesterday afternoon.  I answered it today and politely told "John" from "Home Protective Services" that this number was on the do not call list.  I didn't hardly get the words out and he hung up.  I will still report the calls because my number has been on the list since 2007, and it is a permanent list now.  Anyway, the PA Attorney General's office does a good job of stopping these calls.  It may take us a while, but if we all do our due diligence and report these people, they will eventually use up all the numbers! :)  By the way, I did report a professional organization acting on "behalf of a charity".  I told them numerous times our number was on the do not call list, but they kept calling on weekends and even holidays!  In PA, it is illegal for them to keep calling unless they are actually a volunteer working directly with the charity, so I got a letter from the PA Attorney General's office assuring me I would not be contacted by that company again.  We're going on 3 years now, so I'm assuming it has worked! :)

This number has been calling me in the last 2 days at different times. I don't know this number and they don't leave a message either. I don't answer phone calls if I don't recognize the number. Continuous unsolicited calls to my cell phone from this number, company name supposedly " Home Protection".  My cell number has been entered on the donotcall.gov for almost a year.  The caller questioned me if I had a current home security system and was I interested in establishing one.  He in turn transferred me a security company names Vivint (vivint.com). rep name James, phone 877-404-4131, ex54403
