a foreign sounding male called from this number said that he was with VA Finance, the caller id said dallas tx, no company name. If it was truly from the Va they identify themselves and the fact that they are with the VA. Then they called back like less than 5 minutes later and the guy identified himself as alex shambless from a 7134815407 when i asked him to be placed on the do not call list at the company, he told me let me think about it. I am a veteran and he was a scammer, and I did not give him info, I asked him about papers (as the va usually mails papers before calling the veteran) he asked for my address,  replied if you have my phone number you have my address as well. the VA is professional in what they do so this guy is definetely a scammer. If he really was from va finance, he would not be calling regarding a loan either.

have received calls in excess of 30 times a day from this same foreign man from this number and roughly 25 other numbers, (but always the same man).  Told me first he was from ELoans, the next call, he was from Wells Fargo Bank, then he's from Advance America, etc, etc.  When told by me to "lose my number and that I am on the National Do Not Call list, he proceeds to mock me, insult me, curse at me.  I contacted my local police and was told by them, that there is basically nothing that they or I could do about this and to just have my phone carrier simply block the number(s).  What is the point of the National Do Not Call list, if there is NO accountability, and no one is willing to prosecute the offenders.  Basically the law that governs this area of harassment is nothing more than bull#%@*

    SAME THING HERE
I have been getting these calls as well. Some times 20 or more calls a day. Asks for Evelyn. I keep telling them that I am not who they are calling. When I have a man answer they won't talk to them.
    This is very fishy.

Put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone..  You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Received a call today from this number.  Caller identified the company as Eloans.  I told him that I didn't need a loan and that he should remove me from his list and NEVER CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN.  This is an epidemic.  This is the fourth call I've received today from either an "unavailable" number or a number that I don't recognize that ends up being on this site or other similar ones.  The Do Not Call list is a joke.

    Stop Calling Me!!!
Continue to get calls from various loan companies saying our loan is approved.  Keep telling them to leave us alone and not interested.  Started blocking numbers but they just call from a different number.  Finally started talking to them and taking as absolutely much of their time as possible then tell them I am wasting their time just like they keep wasting my time.  Then they get mad and curse at us.  One guy made some threats to my husband about blocking our bank account and placing a fine against our SSN - neither of which they have, nor does the fine idea even exist.  I guess I would call this a prank call since they are not legit.  Yes, like everyone else, we are on the National DNC Registry.

Again people, the DNC is operating perfectly.  It isn't possible for it to protect you from criminals and scammers because they are not going to abide by it.

There isn't a database or something where your number gets dropped into and then magically no one that you don't know can't call you.  That's asinine.  I understand the problem with the calls, I'm getting a ton as well, but it's really simple.  Don't answer and block the numbers.  Stop acting like this is such a massive inconvenience lol.  You reject the call and block it or just don't answer, either way it's done in seconds.
