The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received complaints about Medicare genetic testing scam calls from 972-236-3307.  The male caller who identifies himself as calling from “Medicare” tells the victim that they are offering “free” DNA testing.  MEDICARE WILL NEVER CALL YOU.  Report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov) , Medicare Office of the Inspector General (https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/report-fraud/index.asp) and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org).   DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS.  Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs).  If you see that Medicare has been billed for something that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-632-4227), and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org).
