When I answered, they asked "Hello, Mr. Smith?"  I said "Yes." and they hung up.  Darn it, I just verified my phone number to them.

Called but no one was on the line.  I just set the phone down until the line went dead.  If someone was there, they were listening to the program I was watching on TV.

They were National Auto something or other. It was a car warranty company telling me that my manufacturer warranty was about to expire on my 2013 vehicle. He then asked me how many miles I had on my vehicle. I told him I had a 100K mile warranty and asked what the heck he was talking about. He then said "ok, goodbye" and hung up. Scam. Unethical. You don't tell people their warranty is about to expire just to scare them into buying your product.

Call from 972 370-5238, man identified himself as someone with National Auto Warranty and started asking me about my car. I made him clarify the reason for his call and when I told him I knew about my warranty and it was not up, he promptly hung up on me. Tried to call back, but only got the option to opt out when I'm already on the Do Not Call List. Cannot locate or identify this company and will report next time they call.

This is the scam that is trying to sell you additional car warranty. They called referring my car that I sold 3 years ago. I've told them numerous times I don't have that car anymore, I'm on the DNC list, take me off their list, etc. They never listen. This time they referred to themselves as "the notification department."

The phone number is a local dial through or masked. There is also a number that comes up Plano TX. They are National Dealer Services and are out of Tampa FL.  They get a registry of owner info for every vehicle sold and load it up in a database program that calculates the calendar expiration date of each makes base warranty. They are then pulled up at the given date and loaded into an auto dialer.

Two organizations are calling me to sell another warranty.  This is something you don't want to buy over the phone.  Whatever price they quote you a large portion goes into the company's pocket and the caller gets a cut of that.  I bet most of these warranties have so many caveats that they are worthless.

Called telling me my warranty has expired on a car I sold 3 years ago. I've told them several times to stop calling and I no longer have that car, and I'm on the DNC list. They ignore all of these and continue to call. I wish they would all just get thrown in prison for their scams.

DNC lists or what have you, the most effective way to stop these calls is to inform the caller you no longer own that vehicle and hang up on them.

Tried to sell me extended auto coverage. I said, oh my, that vehicle was in a horrific accident. The driver lost control, went up on to the sidewalk and ran into a telephone booth and critically injured the telemarketer inside. This guy stayed on the phone throughout the whole call before he hung up.

Same as others. These idiots tell me they are with National Warranty Service and the warranty is expired on my 2013 Buick. I just yelled at the guy and told him I do not own a Buick; they call every day and I'm sick of it, so STOP calling me. He hung up with no comment at all. Jerk. They call several times a week.  I usually let it go to answering machine just to see who it is. Sometimes it is a woman saying "Hello? Hello?" When she calls, you can hear background noise as if she's calling from home with children and TV in the background.
