The recorded message includes, "... Someone with this phone number has an appointment ... come to your local Social Security office on Monday."  Doesn't identify who it's for or date of appointment.  Instructions to call 1-800-772-1213 for appointment change reference an anonymous private number that also has negative comments on this website.  Scam.

Reminding me of legitimate appt with Social Security tomorrow. This number is a legit call I was expecting.

Addendum to above:  For me this was a legitimate reminder call I was expecting, that's not to say that there are not others out there spoofing this same phone number to fish for your personal information which I would never give to an incoming call.  Shameful we have to be so suspicious of everyone, but it's just the way it is now a days. Be careful and safe, America.

Rec'd call at 11:15AM.  No message. No appointment with SSA. Could have been about drug assistance.  Don't answer calls I don't know.  If you leave a message, I might answer or call back.

They called from this number and left a message telling me to call another number because they are opening a tax fraud case and the other number is allegedly the us government number to reach them  at. The other number is also based out of Dallas.

they left a message that told me i hadn't returned my "extra help for drug costs" form, which is legitimate. i probably didn't. they also left the actual Phone # for ssa (1-800-772-1213) to call if i had any questions.  so it sounds legitimate but i would never give american voice my name and ss#. if they're calling you they should already know it

I received a call from this number reminding me I have not submitted forms for prescriptions.  I have done this way back in Jumy.  I hung up and dialed them back to get recording, "Number you have dialed is not in service ". SCAM!

And did you have an interview? Because I just got a call and do not have an interview. I didn't answer it.

Not a scam , how much proof do you need. Is a coincidence that people with a S.S hearing the following day get this reminder call? For those of you who don't have a hearing, they are calling the wrong number.

Social Security.  They were following up on a letter I had received from them about extra help with prescription drug costs.  It was a reminder to fill out and return the application if it was needed.

Got a cut off message and gave a number for you to call about your social Security 800-772-1215. Very close to the REAL SS number of 1213. Called the number to be robo into accepting a free monitoring system. This is a scammer spoofing the real Social Security number to remind you of appointments

Received a call on landline from 927-497-1400.  Left message saying SOMEONE at this number had an appointment with the SSA.  No one at this number has an appointment with the SSA and no one at this number is on SS.

Keep an eye on your credit report, which you should do monthly anyway, because this is a SCAM!!!!
