Numerous calls from this number identified as Carrollton.  No one answers when I pick up and say "Hello" and no messages are ever left.

Yes, that was mentioned multiple times in this thread.  Now, if you are sure that you do not have one of their branded credit cards, then, as mentioned before, you can send them a certified, return receipt "not me" letter.

Many scammers claim to be legitimate online banks in preference to brick and mortar institutions for some reason. I'm currently paying off an actual care credit loan, and this texas number is NOT synchrony bank, they just left robotic voicemails every time about my "car warranty" and I have never owned a car. They are listed on many similar websites under different claims. Scam centers share lists of private info, including bank info or debts etc, found in one off data breaches throughout the internet where databases of company data is stolen and sold en masse (it's certainly happened to enough major websites), and sometimes they already know some personal details associated with a phone number from the illegal information they have which they use to attempt to sound legit, or choose targets (tho often not very well considering they wasted months trying to bait me about a non existent car, I'm not sorry lol). Now, synchrony is definitely VERY aggressive about debt collections, it's true (I'd even say excessively, especially since carecredit is for emergencies), but since the loan for vet care for a dying cat was not in my name, but in a family member's, they wouldn't be calling my phone or even have my number (and like many others who have reported this 972 number elsewhere have noted, synchrony is only one of their scams). I hope this clarifies things in general; to anyone dealing with outstanding debts, set up payment plans yourself by calling the official number on your bill statement for the publicly listed company, never respond to autodials from private numbers, even if it's toll free still treat it as suspicious, say you'll call them back at the number on your bill, or something to throw them that wouldn't be a problem to a real customer service agent (if they fight to keep you talking it's fake, etc).

Dozens of calls, robot voicemails telling me my auto warranty is expiring. I've never owned a car and medically cannot drive. Classic scam pattern, and this number is all over sites like this with reports of all kinds of different scams.

25 calls in one day, I have the 12 month differed payment with no interest they act like my payment is late.  Not just calls, texts, emails, and snail mail.  Non stop: starts at 4am until 11 pm 7 days a week.  Now they are trying to FaceTime.

I have one of their cards and have never experienced this.  What state do you live in?  There are 5 states that give you protection from original creditors.  You can also make complaints to the CFPB and your State Attorney General.

You shouldn't berate other people to pay their bills when clearly you need to take your own advice. You wouldn't have gotten a call from this number unless you didn't pay a bill & you must have gotten a call or you wouldn't be in this thread, right?
