- TexUpon answering, "hold for recording" announcement is made shortly followed by a CSR asking for "Crystal". My wife said "wrong number" and hung up. that just encourages them more. They've called the house daily since then. Your best alternative is to not answer and block the number. We've never had a Chase/WAMU account.
- Caller: unknown
- Craxythis number keeps calling and leaves no msg.. then when u do speak to someone they ask you who they are calling, then hang-up...
- Caller: some caller service
- JimIt is Chase card services....if you want to really hassle them...stay on the line and give them a bad time about their english....it is a call-center in INDIA......pretty good reason to completely STOP doing any business with Chase Card Services.....

- KellyThis number has been calling my boyfriend and my phones multiple times since Monday. The first time I answered and it was a man with a thick accent. I couldn't understand what he was saying so I asked him to repeat what he said and he hung up on me! Ever since they have called both our phones numerous times. I called the number back today to see who it was and they said, "Card Services, can I please have your 16 digit card number?" I didn't give them any info. I don't even have a credit card, so I don't know why they are bothering me. It is really ANNOYING though. They call anywhere from 8:00am to 7:00pm.
- Caller: "Card Services" they say
- KellySorry they didn't ask for my 16 digit card number, they ask for my 16 digit account number. They have called my phone 4 times today and my boyfriends 6! Has anyone had success in getting them to stop calling?
- Suspicious as Well replies to LisaIt turns out that Chase bought out Washington Mutual and I think that they are trying to get a jump on their collection efforts and past due balances. When I spoke to the guy he actually had all of my account information.
- ShaneI received 7 attempted calls from this number in one day. They are collections for WAMU/Chase. I've called Chase about it twice and have filed a complaint with the FTC. I would encourage anyone who is being harassed by Chase to file a complaint at:
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ It takes 5 minutes.- Call type: Debt collector
- TampaTattleI was happy with my WAMU account until it became Chase. Now, I can't wait until the account is paid and I can cancel my card.
According to the fair credit act here’s how you get them to stop them harassing you even if you owe them money. Simply tell them not to call you again. Answer the call once explain to them that you are unable to pay right now and that their calling you all the time isn’t going to get them paid any sooner. (Or whatever the circumstance might be.) And that any business they need to conduct with you from this moment on must be done in writing only. You want your account noted that you will be sending a cease and desist letter to them. Then send the letter certified mail with a signature due to their correspondence address. If they call you after that, you can report them to your state attorney general. And possibly take legal action. Note: you must follow through on the letter or you have no ground to stand on. - SameHereThe same number called me and didn't leave a message. When I called it back they asked for my FULL SSN and when I would not give them that they wanted my date of birth, I again refused. I hung up on the woman and called Chase immediately, I was told that this number is not associated with them and Chase asked me to file a police report.

- crytosporidium replies to piscesborn| 1 replyhello fellow victims -- i have news for you on how to end unwanted calls from this number.
i received calls on my cell phone at all hours and sometimes within the same hour there were several calls. i did not answer any of them but the message was a "beep" indicating that the call was recorded and a voice repeating "please hold" followed by an india call center operator saying "hello, hello, this is chase card services and i'm looking for ______".
the person they are trying to find is not me, nor have i ever had any dealing with chase -- or any outstanding debt that chase may have bought.
i called the number back and reached a human -- i told them the following -- and try this yourself:
1) this call is being recorded -- the operator said they could not authorize recording but would transfer to a supervisor
2) to the supervisor : this call is being recorded. i am returning one of many calls from your organization and you are looking for someone called "_____". this line is not associated with this person and i am requesting that all calls to this number cease. the number you are calling is _________.
although the supervisor made efforts to interject and did not authorize the call to be recorded, she said the number was being removed. frankly, i did allow her to speak but spoke as though i myself was a per-recorded message. i spoke slowly, deliberately and clearly.
3) at the end of the call i asked the supervisor to state her full name and spell her last name, which she did. this step might be best to start with.
my approach is that these folks are "just doing their jobs" -- they are reading from a script and following training. there is nothing personal about the situation and anyone who wishes the calls to stop needs to use the same approach they are using to end the calls:
record the call
ask for full names
make a simple statement that is impersonal and clear
note that i did not state my own name.
good luck and best wishes to all fellow victims. - completely annoyedThey ve been calling my cell and home (which we never use its only for the house alarm purposes) this shows up on caller i.d. 972-512-9501 .The two times my husband and I picked up they said "is this __ __" and yes that is my name, but I did not tell them that. I asked who they were and they refused to tell me they just keep asking my name. I told them take me off their list and stop calling this number. She say "i will take you off the list but is this __ __" I told her its none of her business and hung up. of course they call me back an hour later!!!! There is no way Chase would be behind this,if you doubt it call Chase first and ask them.
- BonnieI had a missed call from this number a few minutes ago I called the number back and first heard a recording say that my call would be recorded. The man who answered the phone said he was from Chase, but I do not have any association with Chase. I told him that I had received a call from this number and simply wanted to know who the number belonged to he asked me for the phone number I gave it to him he asked me for my name and I gave it to him. The part that was off was that after he said he couldnt find any record of my number being called, he asked me for my SSN. No legit bank or credit card company is going to ask you for your SSN over the phone!!! So major scam alert! Be careful and dont give out your SSN TO ANYONE!!!!
- shepKeep calling, every hour or so no answer no message, even if I pick up the phone no one there. Very annoying.
- l.p.r. replies to crytosporidiumdid you know if you tell them that you can't afford lets say to give them a payment right this moment but you could pay them lets say in 5 days, legally they can put on paper that you are refusing to make a payment. that really made me MAD... so dear old little me miss t. the next time they called which was the next day i asked them if they could hold for a second because i was going to be recording the conversation. lol do you know they said no and hung up and i had to do it one other time to them and after that they just hit me up with all kinds of e-mails instead. oh well at least i had a little peace with my cell phone. lol

- JeanI made a payment via telephone today. About 30 minutes later, I received a call from this number asking me if I wanted to make another payment or set up drafts from my checking account. They asked questions that they should have known the answer to. I believe this is a scam.
