- KimberlyI got a call from them a few minutes ago and I picked up but immediately hung up. I had a feeling it was a scam. I don't owe anyone money.lol
- AceThese people called me about my 10th anniversary and I had dealt with these clowns like 5 years ago so I instantly told them that i was drunk and totaled it. (Lie) but of I could go ahead and get insured put on it real fast to cover it then I would cause I had no ins. at the time.. They hung up on me! Lol the next time they called I just happened to be bored at home.. So I let them go thru all of this big long speech and read their crap and I kept saying "I'm sorry my phone keeps cutting out could you say that again?" After 3 or 4 times I let them transfer me and did the same thing to this other guy.. I kept giving this guy the run around before telling him that I had just got this number and I didn't own a vehicle and I was just seeing how long I could keep them on the phone.. And he hung up on me.. RUDE! Haha but I'll be damned they called the next week! So I finally blocked it.. Scam city!

- Ask THEM questionsI was in the middle of work, during lunch hours. Received a call from 972 528-7629 (Texas number). Female voice asked for a Mr. or Mrs. (My full name). I confirmed. She claimed to be from some company or other that handled my vehicle's warranty. She asked me to confirm their description of my vehicle's make, model, and mileage. Out of habit, I confirmed, but kept the mileage vague.
- I was immediately transferred to a male "representative". He asked the same questions, I gave the same answers. He followed up the confirmation with offers of extending my vehicle's warranty. My vehicle was a year old and has full coverage for 7 years, so I knew this was fishy, especially after he slung me a "discounted" fee of $4200.
- I explained that I had none of my vehicle warranty paperwork in front of me, and I cannot confirm who I am talking to at the moment, and would gladly call him back.
- He countered by asking me if I received their letters in the mail, which I obviously hadn't. He explained that this call was a last resort measure, they could not call me back afterwards. He also tried to sell me on monthly installments of "only" $380/month.
- I countered that I could call THEM back in as little as two hours, all I needed was his company's name, and their number. The little scum sucker hung up.
- Tried calling number back on a hunch. Immediately got a machine simply telling me to dial "1" if I was a member, and "2" if I wanted to be removed from their list (No company name, function, nothing). I dialed 1, to see if I could get someone. No dice, asked for a member number.
When in doubt, ask THEM questions; "Who are they?", "What is their company again?", "Can you call them back or get back to them?". If they try to avoid answering those questions, or outright refuse, chances are you caught a scam. Try to collect whatever information on them you could remember about them, and submit it to authorities, and/or in this case, public forums.
Stay well, and DON'T be a target, folks.- Caller: Cannot recall

- Scammers, so just screw with themI have received countless calls from this number, they ask for me by name and state they are with the Vehicle Processing Center and state they offer an extended warranty on my vehicle. They actually know what vehicle I am driving. They then ask what the mileage is on my vehicle. I have told them my warranty is good several times. On the past few occasions I have attempted to get the actual name of their company and they either say goodbye and hang up or the last one only stated Vehicle Processing Center. When I asked her for their contact number she said goodbye and hung up. All callers are foreigners, has got to be some type of scam. If I call the number back it gives you two options: option 1 press 1 if you are a member enter your number, option 2 press 2 if you want to be removed from their call list. I have selected option 2 and still get calls from them. Don't give them any information! Next time they call and ask for mileage I'm going to tell them (in an evil voice) "one million miles".
- Caller: no name, Dallas, TX
- from Charleston, SCJust like the aforementioned comments, I received calls from a (972) 528-7629 and a (843) 885-8436 number, one from Dallas, Texas and the other from Conway, SC (near Myrtle Beach) requesting mileage information for my Mini Cooper. I've contacted the Mini dealership to inquire affiliation, and I was told they have nothing to do with them.
Initially, the personnel from the "Vehicle Processing Plant" sounded legit and seemed concerned questioning my mileage, however, after I kept telling them not to call me, they continued to call. It got to a point that I literally elevated my voice and told them to never call me again, but 20 minutes later I received another phone call. I was furious to say the least... They call me during business hours with that foolishness...
This is definitely a scam... I have blocked their numbers, and I'm hoping I will not hear from them calling from another number. I hope this assists anyone who receives phone calls...- Caller: Some random as heck "Vehicle Processing Plant"

508-306-7718 - SimonThis number of this company from Vehicle Processing Center been calling me for eht welast two years. And I keep telling them stop calling me because I do not want to have any warrantiwes on my car as I do have lifetime warranty for powertrain and that all what I need. But they never stopped. Sometimes, the same people call back!... what should we do? We pay fees on our phones to be protected from such things, but our Gov do nothing about it? I see comments online, I wonder if you people complain about these numbers or not officially and through some law infporcement so we can stop such scams!...

That's STALKING! She is AFRAID!
YOU MUST CEASE & DESIST IMMEDIATELY! - KrisGot a call from this number. The guy knew my make and model of the car and asked for my mileage. I asked him who he was and he asked again for the mileage and said it was relating to my cars warranty. I said "If you know I have X, Y car then you can probably tell me where I bought it, so where did I get it?" He then told me he would transfer me to a "Supervisor." It took less than 5 seconds to get to the "supervisor" (when does that ever happen in customer service). She had an attitude and said she was calling about my cars warranty and if I wanted to extend it. I said no and she hung up on me.

- PhilIt's an annoying car warranty company, or so they say. The two times I actually answered, it was someone asking about the coverage I had on my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. I informed them, both times, that my '09 has been totaled since last November (smashed up by a run-in with a deer), that I have another car now, and it is covered under a 100,000 mile/5 year service plan provided by my dealer. Both times I was told my name would be taken off their list. They call me, on average, about twice a day now. I recognize the # immediately and do not answer it. They never leave a voicemail. Next time I'm going to tell them off for good and after that, they're going to be reported.
