- Renovation Scams - Setting you up for crappy fixes to your roof, windows etc. Vents, Ducts, Chimney Cleaning...
- Alarm Company scams.
- Bait and Switch // Pig in a Poke Scams - You are offered a product that sounds great and to get it you have to secure the delivery with a credit card. You can guess the rest. Even if you do get the product, it was be shoddy, not at all what you expected.
- ID Theft and Info Phishing - Your are conned onto giving personal info and CC info during a phone call that promises you something OR threatens you with something.
- Sometimes this is a Debt Scammers opening move to start harassing you about paying a debt you do not owe.
Turn the card in at your Post Office. They can sometimes go after the sender for mail fraud. - SidneyI received a green card saying they have attempted to deliver a package to my spouse who died over a year ago. I don't think they ordered anything from the great beyond. I'm not calling. Instead of them calling us, now we're suppose to call them and offer our info. Nice try.....Jerks.

- Mike-in-MD replies to MgThis is typical ploy to get a salesperson into your home to pitch such things as water filtration systems, "air cleaners" (read vaccum cleaner) or other items. The "delivery" is often a trial size laundry detergent or other near worthless item. Extremely deceptive if not an outright scam.

- Dave replies to RaúlI just got one also. I googled the phone number and found your post. Did you contact any authorities?? Mail fraud is serious. I'm sure the phone number is run through a computer and generated in a different country. Usually in Africa or the Middle East.
