I asked her to put us on her do not call list she states why would you want to do that. I said because you're just wanting money. She asked if we were in compliance with the new credit/debit card chip. I told her we were not interested and asked her again to put us on her do not call list. you can go to https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/ texas states attorney and file a complaint or call them like we have at (800) 621-0508 Consumer Protection Hotline - THANK YOU IT WORKED replies to texas scam callsDear Sir,
We have identified the calls are being passed to Verizon by an upstream phone carrier. We have contacted them to investigate the calls and take appropriate actions.
You can contact Verizon's Unlawful Call Center at 800-518-5507. Their hours are M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET. The Unlawful Call Center specializes in Annoyance Calls and may have blocking tools that are unavailable to my department.
If you are on the Do Not Call list, you can file a complaint with your state's Attorney General.
Lastly, you can file a complaint with the FCC.
Filing a Complaint
If you have caller ID and receive a call from a telemarketer without the required caller ID information, if you suspect that Caller ID information has been falsified, or you think the rules for protecting the privacy of your telephone number have been violated, you can file a complaint with the FCC. There is no charge for filing a complaint. You can file your complaint using an online complaint form. You can also file your complaint with the FCC’s Consumer Center by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice or 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY; faxing 1-866-418-0232; or writing to:
Federal Communications Commission
Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau
Consumer Inquiries and Complaints Division
445 12th Street, SW
Washington, D.C. 20554
What to Include in Your Complaint
The best way to provide all the information the FCC needs to process your complaint is to thoroughly complete the online complaint form. When you open the online complaint form, you will be asked a series of questions that will take you to the particular section of the form you need to complete.
If you do not use the online complaint form, your complaint, at a minimum, should indicate:
•your name, address, email address and phone number where you can be reached;
•the names and phone numbers of any companies involved with your complaint;
•the type of service that you are complaining about;
•the telephone number or account number for any service you are complaining about;
•the date of any bill you are complaining about, the amount of the disputed charges, and the amount of any refund you have received;
•a brief description of the event or action you are complaining about; and
•the resolution you are seeking, such as a credit or refund or a clearer explanation of the charge(s).
For information about other communications issues, visit the FCC’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau website, or contact the FCC’s Consumer Center by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice or 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY; faxing 1-866-418-0232; or writing to the address listed above.

ResearchandCompliance@one.verizon.com - Thomas L| 1 replyso a private number came across showing 972-532-5714 as the number and being a business I answered. Turns out another fake credit card company trying to scam me. I get calls at least once a month from new credit card scammers with different names. How is this not illegal yet? for the poor souls who fall victim to their devious plans I'm truely sorry.

- SMALL BUSINESS SATX| 2 repliescalled asking for the owner... told him I'm sorry, how can I help you? I'm looking to verify your address to send out some information for tomorrow, are you the owner? No, I am not. Thank you I'll call back, click. Tried to call the number back, keeps telling me I have a channel group error and to reset my channels and try again. I'm calling from a hard wired land line, not a VoIP. This is certainly a scammer group. Didn't identify himself, just asks for the owner and hangs up before I can tell them to remove us.
